Haikyu!! Oneshots

Zoo Date- Bokuaka

This was requested by @oikawas_dirty_hands. I know it's a little cliche but I hope you like It and apologise for its lateness.

 "Hey Akaashi, let's go see the giraffes next!" Bokuto exclaimed. He held akaashis's hand tightly as he pulled the other in the direction of said animal. He loved the slightly older males excitement about all of the animals. It was adorable.

The two were on a date and Akaashi decided he should take Bokuto too the zoo. He said he hadn't been since he was quite young but he knew of the ace's love for the place so it was decided that during the break from college, they would go.

They arrived at the giraffes and Bokuto stared in awe at how tall they were. Akaashi started reading the facts on the sign in front of the glass. Did you know that the scientific name of a giraffe is Giraffa camelopardalis?

Bokuto suddenly burst into a fit of laughter and Akaashi looked up in confusion. What could be possible be laughing at?

"What are you laughing at Bokuto?" He asked.

" Oh I just imagined a giraffe playing volleyball. " the man replied in between laughs.

"Ok." Akaashi replied and left it at that so his date could Calm down.

They next went to the sea lion exhibit. There was a glass tunnel you could walk through and see the sea lions swimming. It was amazing. (They actually have this at the zoo I go to. Is this a regular occurring thing? I haven't really been to many other zoos apart from that one so I'm not sure.)

Afterwards they went to the butterfly enclosure. You could walk through it and look at all the different types. One landed on Akaashi 's shoulder, Bokuto was a little jealous of this, and it almost didn't want too get off when it was time to move on. The pictures on the wall identified it as a karner blue butterfly and judging by the brightness Of the colour, it was a male one.

"Bokuto where would you like to go next ?" Akaashi asked with a slight smile as he ate his lunch. The two had say down to eat but Bokuto was eager to continue exploring.

"Penguins! " Bokuto yelled. A few people looked in their direction in annoyance but Akaashi found it adorable. His excitement was contagious.

As soon as he had finished, Akaashi was pulled along by Bokuto to the penguins. He went immediately for the railing, leaning on it as he gazed in awe. The penguins were swimming around when a zookeeper walked in with a bucket and announced it was feeding time. The two stayed and watched as the penguins ate their food. a

"Akaashi look at that one! He's so cute! Can we take him home?" Bokuto asked and pointed at a small penguin who seemed a little shy.

" Bo, I don't think that's possible." He replied. Bokuto agreed but was a !little sad about leaving the enclosure.

Afterwards, and their final stop of the day, they went to the bird enclosure. They saw parots, condors, hawks but most importantly, the owls. (You guys knew this was coming)

Bokuto seemed to extremely love owls. Akaashi himself didn't really know why but he knew that his boyfriend loved them. Perhaps that was why he resembled one. Or maybe that was pure coincidence.

Bokuto was bouncing up and down in excitement as he looked at all of them. He stopped walking along and Akaashi had to turn around to see what had caused him to.

He had stopped in front of one of the owls. It was a horned owl and it was looking directly at bokuto. The ace was transfixed on the owl.

"Bokuto, he looks like you.' Akaashi blurted out which snapped Bokuto out of his trance.

Akaashi blushed when he realised what he had said but Bokuto smiled wider than he had all day. He started laughing which made the setter giggle slighlty. The two said goodbye to the owl before they walked hand in hand to the exit.

Just as they were leaving Akaashi said he was going to get something from the gift shop and he wouldn't be long. Bokuto waited outside for him. it wasn't long before Akaashi returned and handed a bag over to him. He opened it to reveal a little stuffed owl, a horned owl to be precise.

" awww Akaashi your so sweet! " Bokuto said and hugged him. Akaashi smiled and hugged back.

They walked to the car, Bokuto holding onto the owls wings and pulling them up and down as if they were flapping. They both got in and Akaashi drove them home, both feeling extremely happy from their day at the zoo.

I hope you enjoyed and I apologise again that this was late out. I have been busy but I have been trying to get this done ASAP. It was a little unoriginal, especially the owls, but I saw bokuaka date and automatically thought of this.
