Montero's POV

"Miss Kalani, can you please tell us what you remember about the kidnap." Officer Mark asked.

"You mean the day I was shot?" I added smiling.

"Sir please don't make this hard for us." Larry reprimanded me.

I raised my hands in defeat, indicating I would stop.

"I remember coming of hospital terrified." Kalani started. "Reporters were everywhere and it was bad. We finally got the car, Montero and me, Eva right at the back, and his driver drove us. And then I-" she started to hiccup. Her breathing starting to get heavy.

I started rubbing her back assuring her that she was ok, that she wasn't in that place and that she was safe and she was with me. And I wouldn't let anything happen to her.

Not ever again.

She looked at me and she squeezed my hand. I smiled at her and I nodded my head, encouraging her to continue.

"Then we crashed." She looked at the officers more confidently. "I could hear voices calling me, but I passed out. I woke up in this room all chained up. It was dark and reeking of blood." She squeezed my hand even tighter to try and control her breathing.

"It was terrifying. I've never been so scared in my life." I looked at her and saw that tears started to well her hazel eyes.

"I thought I was gonna die." She sniffed back so her nose wouldn't start leaking. "I missed my mom and dad and I just wanted to go home." I wiped her tears and nodding for her to continue.

"Then the kindest man entered the room." She then looked at Seven. "He promised me that I would go home and that he would take care of me until I got to go home."

"Do you know the man's name?" Larry interrupted.

"No, but he was the closest thing I had to family." She smiled, looking back at the officers. The officers looked at each other and then asked another question.

"Could you please describe for us how he looked?" Mark asked.

"I don't remember." Kalani hurriedly replied.

"So you telling me, the one person whom was kindest to you when you got kidnapped you don't remember at all?" Mark scoffed, seating back.

"What you want me to say officer Mark?" She asked. "You want me to say I remember, Huh?" She let go of my hand and she stood up, fast mind you. I stood up with her, took her hand into mine again, but she pulled it out. She was furious, I could tell that much. Her cheeks where rosy and her ears were pink.

"What would you have done officer? If you were pregnant with triplets, just came out a coma, 21 years of age, and pretty sure your family will disown you when they find out you pregnant and your bursary will be taken because pregnant women are not allowed in dorms. Then you get kidnapped for god knows what. You telling me you gonna remember? Is that what you telling me officer Mark?" She asked.

"No, I'm merely ask-" he tried defeating.

"Merely?" She chuckled, looking up. She then looked down and asked, " What do you want me say Officer Mark? That I remember everything. How I was almost raped and how I almost dead by being strangled or how I remembered how it hurt when I got shot? Is that what you want me to say I remember?" She was full on cry with hiccups but she didn't stop.

"You want me to say I remember seeing all those dead bodies and seeing my dad look for me and not find me? Is that what you want to hear?!" She yelled the last part.

"Miss Kalani we...I-" he started stuttering and he looked at me as if asking for help. I just looked at him like I was death itself.

"I..we what?" She asked. "Y'all came for a statement right?" She looked at them. The looked at each at nodded their heads skeptically.

"Well this is my statement. I was almost raped. I was shot and I almost died. And the kindest man, that  was half nice to me, had the kindest olive green eyes. He was tall and had unkempt jet black hair. What I remember officers is what I would like to forget forever, but I can't." She looked away, trying to breathe. "I can't because y'all keep reminding me. All I just wanted was to raise my kids." She whispered the last part, breaking down to full on sobs.

"Officers, if y'all don't want to leave in a body bags, I suggest y'all leave." I informed them as calmly as my nerve could let me. I was pissed. They made Kalani cry. My Kalani. I was fuming. And not just at them only, but also at the guy who tried to raped her.

The officers looked at each other and Mark finally stood up first and said, "Miss Kalani, I see this is still a sensitive subject for you. We can come back so other time."

I chuckled.

"Mark, if you dare come to this house again for a statement, I swear with all I have, I will end you." I snarled.

"But-" he tried protesting.

"I dare you." I looked at him dead in his eyes, "I dare you to step foot in this house again and it will be the last time you take a breathe son. This is my turf, and if you think your so called law is stronger than me, than my people, I dare you to come back." I then pulled Kalani into a tight hug.

"Officers leave, please..." I looked at them one more time.

Felix picked up my gun and moved out the way so they could leave.

"We are sorr-"

"Leave!" I interrupted then yelling.

They turned around at left. The moment the door closed, I immediately turned to Seven and asked, "Please tell me you killed that piece of sh*t that touched my wife." I spoke holding her more tightly.

"Yes sir I did." He answered and nodded.

"Good." I nodded. "Thank you."
