Roman's POV

"Boss, we need to meet the investors today because they are only in town for the night and are leaving tomorrow morning," Manny informs me.

"Okay, where will they be tonight?" I ask.

"They will be at the Phoenix sir." He replies.

"As in the club?" I tilt my head, looking at him.

"Yes sir." He looks away.

"What are they doing there? They surely didn't come here for a good time?" I question, looking back at my laptop.

"Sir, they are meeting the owner. I think he wants to sell the place." He replied respectively.

"Fair point." I nod to myself then look back at him, "Okay, bring the car around and tell Johnathan to accompany me." I inform him.

"Sir.... Mr. Santoro is not around." He looks away

"Where is he?" I yell, startling him.

"Sir, he went on a date with Miss Satori and asked not to be disturbed." He replies, trying not to stutter.

"Well, that's bad because I need him here and now. Call him and tell him to meet me in 10 minutes."

"But sir...what he disagrees?" Manny asks, skeptical.

"He will agree if he knows what's best for him," I muttered.

With that, Manny Pacquiao leaves my office to make the phone call. I couldn't believe this. How could Johnathan leave and not tell me?

"Sir...Mr. Santoro said he will be here in 5 minutes tops." He came back to inform me.

"Good, in the meantime, get those hotel files ready, we need to make a good impression Manny. This is a huge deal."

"Sir." With that, he left. I liked Manny. He was straightforward and on point and he always did what I asked.

"Seriously..." Johnathan said as he entered my office. "I was on a lunch date and I told you, I don't what to be disturbed." He rambles.

"Shut up Johnathan." I point him to the chair to sit down, while I was still typing.

"That could have been my future wife man." He protests, but still seats down.

"She can wait." I object.

"No, she can't. Roman dude, how many times do I have to tell you, I am not your babysitter and I am not-" before he could finish, I had my 9-millimeter pointed at his head.

"And how many times do I have to tell you, I am not your dude?" I questioned him with a straight face.

"I am sorry." He said with his hands up.
"I won't hesitate to shoot Santoro, know your place. Friends or not, know who you talking to."

"Sor...sorry boss." He stutters.

"Good," I said putting my gun away. "Now, the reason why I called you here was so you could accompany me to meet some investors," I explain to him.

"But can't you do that on your own?" He asked.

" I can, but I want you to oversee things. I need you there because I trust you and we are talking about big bucks here. If I get this deal, I am taking over the whole South side of New York, along with apartments and hotels."

" Wow, that is huge. How did you get this deal boss?"

"Johnathan, I think you are forgetting who I am. I get what I want and when I want, whether it leaves a blood trail behind or not, that's the cost I am willing to take."
