I was impatiently waiting for North to come outside that room. A nurse was putting North's cast on.
I couldn't believe someone would go this far. North could have died.
There was a man who frantically started to run. He slowed down a bit when he saw me for some reason.
He glared at me and then looked through the little window of North's door. He had a worry in his eyes. Then he sighed, gave me another glare, then walked away, looking calmer. I started wondering who was he.
North didn't say a word for the whole ride home. She just stared at her leg which was rapped in a cast.
I was thankful she didn't get too hurt, though.
We finally arrive at the Sanders house and I open the door for North.
She uses her crutches to get out and walks quickly to the door.
The lights were out. No one seemed awake.
North struggled to hand me the keys and keep her balance.
We finally got inside.
"I should be going to bed," North says going up the stairs.
I follow her up the stairs. Apple came running up to North but North was able to get away from him so she wouldn't fall.
I sat on North's couch while she took a shower. She came back and laid down on her bed.
"Well, North. Make sure you be careful. Sometimes people can be a little aggressive. Goodnight." I started to walk away until a handheld mine.
I turned around. North had tears in her eyes, "Everyone hates me, don't they? That's the reason my parents left me in the first place."
She started crying real hard. I didn't want to see her cry. I laid on her bed hugging her, so she knows I care. North stuffed her face in my shirt.
I was about to comfort her until I fell asleep to the sound of crying.

I woke up realizing I fell asleep. North was sound asleep in her bed. I think she cried herself to sleep because m shirt is filled with tears.
I drag myself off the bed and then the door opens.
It was Emily.
I put my finger and my mouth as a signal to be quiet.
She nods and we go outside.
"How is she?" Emily whispers.
I hesitated to say, "Her injury isn't bad but she was crying like crazy. She thinks everyone hates her."
Emily sighed.
We went downstairs, then Emily said, "Do you want some hot chocolate?"
I looked her in the eye, "Sure,"
She makes us both a cup. I stared at it for a bit then took a sip.
Should I tell Emily how I feel about her? Should I let her know that I love her? What if she doesn't like me back?
We walk outside to get some fresh air and I take a deep breath, "Emily?"
She gets my attention.
"I never really hated you. I just couldn't stand girls then. You know that, right?" I ask.
Emily stares at the ground, "Yeah, I guess so."
I start to slowly walk a bit closer to her. But I got too close. I tripped over a rock resulting in me falling on top of Emily. I pinned her to the ground.
We both stared at each other.
Our lips were only a few inches away.
What was I going to do now?
My eyes flew from Emily's eyes to her lips.
Eyes, lips.
Eyes, lips.
Should I kiss her?
Or should I not?
That was the question.
