Shattered II: Better Feeling

Chapter 10- 2021

It's a new year. I looked down at Colony High's buildings. Everyone was enjoying a nice school festival. I sat on the school roof. I watched as they all spoke to one another. The school roof opened and i looked over.

"Ah Bryan! You're finally back. I guess this means it's finally time?" Ms. Abstract asked.

I got up slowly and pull my hat down. "Yes, I think it's time to finally appear."

Ms. Abstract grabbed her cellphone. "I'll call Nicole, Kyra, and Jerald."

I look as i see Sky enjoying his evening. "Please do."

Sky sat by Jennifer as the others spoke to them. Melissa blurted out. "Pfff- Sky it's your moment!!" and the others only sent more comments.

Sky turned red and got up. "No NOPE YOU GUYS GOT THE WRONG IDEA!"

Kay laughed. "Oh please, Who are you tricking? We all know you do~"

Ms. Abstract got on the Mic. "Hello Students! It's time for the ability battle station!"

I whisper a quick "YES" and listen in. 

"We all will start with the low ranks. Please provide good sportsmanship to your friends and fellow classmates!"

I look at the others. "The hell are we supposed to do?!"

Nicole laughed. "I guess we have to wait." Her phone rung and she answered. "Hello? Oh? Right now? Well okay, i'll be there." She hung up and looked at us. "Guys i have to go. See ya!" She said running off.

Leslie stared at Nicole as she ran away. "Why the rush?"

I sigh. "Who knows. Melissa, What do you think of this?"

Melissa happily jumped up and down, i'm ready for my turn! There's some things i've wanted to show that i can do with my ability!!"

I laugh. "Have patience at least!"

Some time passed and i saw all my friends fight. I never got called up. Ms Abstract got on the mic again one more time. I felt so bummed out. She raised her hand and a folder called X3 was seen onto it. "Sky, You'll be fighting an actual God Rank! Come on up!"

I go onto the stage and look back at my friends who only cheered me on.

I got into my battle stance and see no one. I looked at Ms. Abstract who was smiling the whole time. Where is my opponent?

Bri finally arrived and settled down with the others. Just then someone phased onto the stage. He removed himself from reality and appeared back! Wow! His dark figure finally became clear and his hat covered his face. Though we could see only his eye and part of his face. It was hard to tell if we knew this god rank.

Ms. Abstract then began to say on the Mic. "Here he is! So we have Sky, the fire master user against.....Bryan! The Ultimate user!"

The room got silent. The cheering and the music stopped. Sky, confused asked "What do you mean? I'm the ul-"

She began to speak again. "You see Sky, You were never the Ultimate user. Bryan here, gave you the powers you continuously used throughout the year!
