Shattered II: Better Feeling

Ch. 8- The Wave~

Bryan's POV-

It is now my second day at school. I got through most of the periods. Most people looked at me with fear but all i did was act positive. I'm not going to act like how i was again.

I went to lunch and decided to sit with the people i beat up yesterday. I went over and sat and apologized. "Hey."

They looked at me with mixed expressions.
"Huh?" The former cocky one said.

"I just want to say sorry for yesterday. I was just eager to see if you were rank 1 or not"

He processed this for a second. "So are you a high rank?"

I snorted. "Level 7.3 Deep Ultra user....." I already said this, didn't i?

he slaps his forehead. "Oh Right! Bryan right?"

i nod and see two girls arguing. One powers up her ability and i get up.

The person sitting on my right raises his hands in panic. "No! don't stop her she's rank-"

I teleported to the scene and block the fist being thrown at the powerless girl.

"What the hell? Get your hand off of me!" She said. I protect the seemingly powerless girl and say "you don't hurt those who aren't able to fight fairly."

The powerless girl freaks out and whispers to me "What are you doing?! She'll beat you up too! she always has done this!"

I smile and ask her "What's her rank then?"

She scratches her head and replies "hmm level 6.5...whats her ability..."

I shrug and continue to attack the female student.

She leaps backwards. "No! Leave, i was teaching them what happens when you get in the way of a high rank!"

I grab her hand and stop her from hitting me. "Hurting people isn't the way to show anything! It's discrimination and mistreatment."

She shakes and pushes me away. "No you're wrong! I will get you later Jaelyn!"

I go to the girl who was hurt. I recognized her after a bit. "Oh i've seen you in class before."

She nods and slowly gets up, injured. "I'm...Jaelyn. I'm a level 5.0 yet i still get beat up by her.."

I healed her and helped her get back on her feet. "Hey, don't worry about it. I'll protect you."

"Really, Will you actually?"

I nod my head. "I have to help everyone."
