Chapter 12 - His Angel

Jennifer's POV—

Kyran walked off to the other side of the hall. I turned around and continued getting to my next class. I wonder how Kyran views all of these students?

A vision began clouding my head.

"Maybe you just haven't realized that my power is unstoppable? You're such a fucking idiot sometimes, you know that?" Kyran said in a menacing tone.

I flinch. Stop it! End the vision!! END IT!

When the vision vanished, Melissa stood in front of me. Her ability was on and she was smirking. "Like my ability yet?"

I grit my teeth. "MELISSA! Stop with it already! I keep seeing Kyran going out of control and threatening people!"

She began to sweat. "But it's based off the person that's on your mind the most— This is really telling me something though."

"UGH, Just be quiet already." I walked away.

Nicole was standing by the roof's staircase.

I raised an eyebrow. "What are you doing here Nicole?"

"Uh—!" She sighed. "I was watching over Kyran. After everything I've seen in the virtual world, I just refuse to believe He's changed."

I facepalmed. "Really Nicole? He's proven himself already with the little time we've spent together."

"Okay but you helped us. You broke him." She sounded pleased.

I stared in shock. "What? Wait, Repeat that again."

She nodded. "It's thanks to you breaking him that we finally suppressed his corruption."

I felt my anger rising. "Stop sounding so happy about it damn it! He's our friend!"

"He... I... I don't know if he is yet. I'm going to take some time to find out." Her expression darkened and she turned away from me. "Just give me some time."

With that, She walked off.

Kyran would have beaten them all up if he hadn't changed. Though I've never seem him do so, The others are the only witnesses there are.

Kyran's been lost, yes but he wouldn't go as far as to hurt us! They have to be delusional. I asked Kyran and he was shocked.

I passed the roof's stairs and searched around. Kay was looking through her locker. I ran up to her. "Hey Kay!"

"Yeah?" She looked at me.

I sighed. "What's up with Nicole? She's been talking like Kyran isn't our friend."

"What?! Kyran?" She asked.

I confirmed. "Yeah."

Kay shook her head. "He's gone through so much."

"Gone through so much?" I was baffled.

Kay searched through her locker. "He's always getting in situations he doesn't want to be in. The result has always made him feel worse and worse. The one in December including us finally broke him mentally."

"I feel so bad." I whispered. "Be suspicious of Nicole at all times for me."

"Sure, Anything for Kyran."

I thanked her and ran to class while I had the chance.

The door slammed open and hit me in the face. The girl from earlier screaming at me appeared. "Oh it's you? You and your friend better not mess around."

I shoved her and ran in. "Move."

She grabbed my leg and squeezed it. "You. You know Nicole. I know you do."

I stared. The class hadn't noticed me and the girl.

"Well I'll tell you this. You let out two people from the virtual world." She said before somehow disappearing.

I waited for this class to end. I did my work and took notes. When it was time to go, I ran down the hallways. I searched for Nicole.

She didn't appear until I turned the corner and made it to the courtyard.

She was sitting at a bench. I walked up to her and patted her back. "What do you want this time Jennifer?"

I quickly replied. "What was going on in the virtual world?!"

"Why does it matter? It was a school simulation to see what he could do if it were really us. It didn't work out because he didn't want to be himself and he faked his personality til the end of it." She explained.

I shook. "Well, I saw this blonde girl... She was um... She told me that two people were actually let out from the virtual world, not one."

"You sure it's not Melissa messing with you?" She asked me, doubtfully.

"IM SURE IT WASNT HER OKAY!" I yelled. "No one else except You and I know of that place!"

"...You're right. Take me to her please." She mumbled.

I obliged and took her to where I saw this blonde girl.
