Swaraaj : The Devil

CHAPTER FOURTEEN

"What's going on?" Karan received a call from his contact, he excused himself from all the ladies in the living room, after deciding to go to the shopping; all five girls were talking about the places they can explore for shopping, Karan had no interest in this kind of things.... So he sat with his mother, they were discussing something but he received the call and he has to take this in private.... He came in the kitchen away from all the bickering.... 

"What do you mean?" Karan asked normally... 

"I heard so many voices, are you in public place?" the contact asked.... 

 "No, I'm home, those were Nitu and SK and Panchhi..." Karan clarified.... 

"You're with Panchhi?" Karan sensed little bit of surprise in his contact's voice.... 

"Yeah, did you call to ask that?" Karan was not able to understand the reason why he was getting this call when everything was under control..... 

"No, actually" the contact's voice was lost, but it gained it again and said, "You're still in Ahmedabad, I thought you were supposed leave with Nitu immediately...." 

"Yes, that was the plan but it's changed.... We're staying here for a week..." Karan explained, Karan was suspicious when the contact didn't continue after it, 

"Is there something you want to tell me?" Karan inquired.... 

 "It's your brother!" the contact's voice was of guilt... 

"What about him?" 

"I just got the info that he met with one man who's on run from Swaraaj...." 

 "What?" Karan was surprised hearing about this... 

"What had he done?" 

"He was the one who was informing Dev Pradhan about Panchhi's location...." The contact said and Karan's blood started to boil.... Swaraaj found out about the man who was leaking Panchhi's location and he wasn't informed, Karan didn't like that fact.... 

"Why wasn't I told about him?" Karan's voice had pure rage which the contact also realized, 

 "Because it was way below your grade, so it didn't concern you...." 

"Anything that is remotely connected to Panchhi, concerns me...." Karan threatened which contact got and didn't argue back, "Where is he? And why he met my brother?" 

"That's what I wanted to know, I just called you to tell you that I might have to ask some questions to your brother!" It wasn't request, the contact implied a verdict which angered Karan more... 

"NO!" he said pressing his teeth, "I'll talk to him, and you-" he paused, his threatening voice was back, "- you stay away from him...." 

"What am I supposed to report?" 

"Report that I've got this.... And they won't ask you other question...." Karan's confident words were enough answers for the contact and to put an end to this conversation, Karan hang up the call and turned back to see in the living room, he saw Panchhi and Nitu laughing over something, he had seen them both happy after a long time, he didn't want to ruin that, so thought to hold back his thoughts for a week and let them enjoy these days.....

Kairav entered the house of Karan after leaving from Shivaji's house.... He was still lost in thoughts of the things Shivaji talked to him about.... His brother a successful businessman; was also a very big and feared name in underworld.... He was still thinking about killing those men in cold blood.... He entered the living room, where only Maashi baa was sitting.... Nobody else was anywhere to be seen..... Maashi baa stood up seeing Kairav entering the living room, Kairav tried to smile at her humbly....
