"C'mon Kiddo, take one step at a time.... Slow and easy....." Karan said holding Nitu from her back, she was in the physio therapy, it's been three weeks from the accident, her recovery was fast, doctors thought it would be the best time to start her physiotherapy, so she could start walking and her body parts can start functioning the way they used to.... It was necessary for her to at least walk for ten minutes and 75 steps a day, it would allow their broken bones to start adjusting.... Karan stayed there for the most of the day to help her do her exercises....

Nitu was facing difficulties in the beginning because of the immense amount of pain and the efforts she has to put into it to endure that pain, but she was also thankful that Karan was here with her all the time to help her out, SK would also come on alternate days to be with her, but after Karan spending all his time here, someone had to be at office too.... That's why SK couldn't find time to come in visiting hours..

"Dada Let's call it a day! I'm tired.." Nitu said exhausted,

"Not Gonna happen Sweetie!" Karan denied instantly,

"Dada!" Nitu protested....

"Kid, you said the same thing yesterday, when you've walked barely 20 steps... and now you've walked only around 20, and you're tired again...." Karan argued....

"Dada! It's not like I don't want to walk, it's just... It's hurting...." Nitu said in disappointed look.... Karan was feeling really sorry for her sister and it also hurt him to see her going through this, but he has to do something to rebuild her confidence again.... He helped her to the bench at the wall of the room, it was merely five steps.... Nitu sat on the bench and Karan sat on his knees in front of her.....

"Look baby, the pain is going to be there till you don't recover fully.... But you just have to ignore the pain and have to look at your goal...." Karan said trying to motivate her, but her face fell again...

"It's easier said than done...." Nitu remarked.... Karan smiled at her, he knew motivation wouldn't do any good.... All she needs is consideration....

"You always wanted to know about the past of yours and mine right?" Karan asked.... Nitu was thrown off guard, she looked instantly at him on her left.... She was confused what he was talking about....

"What do you mean?" She asked....

"I'll tell you one story of your childhood, every day if you'll walk 75 steps without stopping...." Karan said and got up, he walked on the other side of the room and counted 75 steps and he stopped.... He stood there and screamed. "75 steps Kiddo, 1 story...." Nitu was beyond shocked.... She wasn't believing it at all, but she knew her brother too, she knew he never makes hoax promises.... If he says he'll tell one story, it means he'll actually tell her.... Nitu's new excitement has taken a place of pain in her mind....

She got up without anybody's help and with the help of walker she started taking step by step, towards Karan.... Karan knew something of a challenge would bring her back on her feet... He also hoped that she would come to him without stopping.... She walked somewhat of 25 steps in just adrenaline; that ran through her after hearing her brother's offer, and then when she moved forward she started to feel the same excruciating pain she felt before.... She was trying hard to ignore the pain and focus on the goal, like her brother suggested, but what can you expect from a 14 year old.... Her pain was increasing with each step, which was clearly visible on her face, and Karan also noticed that, he shouted out again, "Remember Kid, 1 story.... Just half the distance now...." He was cheering her so that she can stay focused but her pain was too much for her to stay focused.... After it reached its peak, Nitu stopped and her eyes were all moist and her cheeks were wet because of tears.... She sat on the wooden floor because of the pain.... Karan came running to her, he sat on his knees beside her... he tapped her back and asked in concerned voice, "Hey Kiddo, you did well... you did really good...." He said taking her in his arms... she rested her head on his shoulder....
