Before the bell rang I caught up with Diamond and told her the plan. Well part of it.

"And all you need to do is cause a scene to make him hit you in public"

I walked away but I was so tempted to beat the shit outta him right there and then and takin my woman away

"Are you done" Omar asked for the hundredth time since we've been here.

"No. I still have to get more concealer if you don't want what happened this morning to happen again" I said " if you didn't hit me then we wouldn't be here right now" I said under my breath.

"What the fuck did you say?!"

"I said that we wouldn't be here right now if you didn't hit me!" I said louder.

"Diamond you better watch who the fuck you're talkin to. I'll-"

"You'll what?! Hit me! Go ahead im used to it by now any. You can't hurt me"

The back of his hand came in contact with my face. All the ladies gasped and the lady at the desk dialed 911.

A lady in her fifties came up and took me away from him.

"You're a monster. You shouldn't hitting on your girl like that damaging her beautiful face. You should be ashamed"

"Di I'm sorry"

"Save your sorry. You shouldn't have hit her in the first place" the lady said taking me away from him.

A couple of minuets later the cops came. The lady at the cash register explained what happened and they arrested him.

"Diamond! baby I'm sorry"

I turn away from him and hug the lady. I start crying

"Is this the first time he hit you" she asked after telling me her name was Sheila

I shook my head no. I hung my head down in shame. She lift my head up

"Sweetie why are you doing this to yourself? You have to leave him. He's going to hurt you even worse if you stay with him. He's no good. If you don't leave him you might end up six feet under and I don't want what happened to my sister to happen to you"

"What happened to your sister"

"I don't like to talk about but just know she was with a man who bought her everything a woman desired but beat her everyday. I told her to leave him. I warned her but she didn't listen. You know where she is now? Dead. That's where and now I'm warning you I don't want to see you dead okay."

She had tears in her eyes as she told me her story. It made me think and cry. I don't wanna end up dead for what? A man who says he loves me but beats me every chance he has. No way. I wanna live. I wanna leave but how?

"Thank you" I said, "for helping me. I really appreciate it."

"No problem baby. If you need any help or someone to talk to heres my number. Don't be afraid to call me okay"

"Okay thanks" I said hugging her

"Now let's get you home to your mother"

During the ride home I text Jerome

Mission accomplished

He text me back immediately
