Harry POV:

To say the least, the summer after the war wasn't overly happy. I asked Mrs.Weasly if I could stay at the burrow, I just wasn't ready to face these feelings I have alone. She told me that the burrow was always a place I could go, that I didn't need to ask her anymore. She says we were always family. I was happy when I heard that, of course, I would be the Dursleys treated me like shit. So hearing her say that made me truly believe that I had someone, or a family even, outside of that house.
During the summer, I could tell everyone was stressed out. Fred was still in recovery in the hospital, so we were constantly going back and forth. I felt guilty for it. I don't know why so don't ask. I just do, like I do for all the other deaths the war caused. Ron also got way more sarcastic.
Sometimes it was funny other times it was rude. I think it pisses him of Hermione wasn't with us, she left us to go on a trip with Luna. Which surprises me, I think it hurt Ron that Hermione chose her soon-to-be girlfriend over us. I don't blame him, but I also don't blame Hermione for wanting a break from the reminders. I think it was good for her to get away.
Ron on the other hand took it personally. Way too personally in my opinion, but I also understand his point of view.
I just want him to stop acting like a sarcastic little bitch.

It was a hot night, Mrs.Weasly, Mr.Weasly, George and Ginny left for the hospital. Fred woke up not that long ago, which made me relieved. I was so happy to hear that, however hearing that his brother was alive made George burst into tears. It was the second time I ever saw him cry. But Ron and I decided to stay back and let them go. We promised to see George next time.
So here I sit, on the other end of the table as Ron reads through postcards 'Mione sent us detailing everything about her adventures. I rolled my eyes every time Ron made a smart ass comment.
"Oh look, Harry, Hermione is enjoying North America! Apparently, it's such an awesome place to be! Oh goody, she's telling us facts that we already know!" Ron mocked as he flipped through them, careful to not destroy them.
"Oh really?" I ask with an eye roll and leaned back in my chair.
"Oh my god! She saw a bear! That is such an accomplishment!" Ron stopped and re-read a line and scoffed, "Moose can not be that big! She's exaggerating."
I sigh and take a look. I gave Ron a look of pure disappointment. Moose actually that big, as usual, Hermione is accurate down to a T.
"Ron, can you please stop behaving like a toddler," I asked and Ron gave me a confused look.
"What?"
"You're throwing a tantrum, let Hermione be happy, okay?" I snatched the post-card out of his hand and looked at it.
In the postcard was a picture of Hermione and Luna, smiling brightly into the camera as they pose in front of a giant pine tree. They were wearing summer clothes, Hermione in t-shirt shorts and sneakers while Luna wore some shorts with different coloured patches and long purple socks with some black ankle boots. Both girls had their hair tied back, they looked really happy. I envied them. I saw the neat and delicate hand-writing of Hermiones and a little note that reminded me of Luna's handwriting.
Hermione and Pansy Parkinson were dating around the time of the war. Only I knew about it. Pansy made Hermione happy too, Pansy was good to her. I also remember a lot of late nights, Hermione would come back looking frustrated, conflicted and sad. It was always after a fight, always about the same thing. Hermione wanting Pansy to join our side of the fight. Pansy saying she's going to stay neutral. Hermione wanting Pansy to stand up for what she believes is right. And always, always, Pansy would go quiet and just stare at Hermione. Even if Pansy made Hermione happy. She is also the person that hurt Hermione the most.
One night, Hermione was done with Pansy's behaviour. She wanted Pansy to choose, Hermione or Draco. Hermione was done with the hurtful comments Pansy threw her way during the school hours. So, Hermione, that night went and talked to her about it. I never got the whole story, but when Hermione came back sobbing I knew it was over.
I don't think Hermione has heard from Pansy since.
Hermione afterwards, after the break-up, grew closer to Luna. Luna, even as peculiar as she was, helped Hermione become more level-headed. Even if Hermione is book-smart and Luna is-well Luna, Hermione tends to humour Luna and try and make sense of everything she does. Luna is something Hermione can't put into words. I think that's why they get along. Hermione is trying her hardest to put Luna into words, to figure Luna's brain out and just figure out what type of person Luna is. But she can't and usually, before-hand that would frustrate her and she would get angry. Now, well now...it excites her and she can't wait to figure out what might happen next.
So this adventure is helping her heal. Pansy was her sexual orientation awaking. As well as her first real heartbreak. Luna is her...healing process and I hope it'll be even more after that.
