He gave me the newspaper and pointed at the article to show what he was so happy about. "I have been teaching you alot of these words! Learn the article and read it to me tomorrow." he commanded.

Jaemin chuckled at the assignment. "Don't torture that poor soul, please." he pleaded.

I stood up, holding the newspaper tightly in my hands. "I'LL LEARN IT TIL TOMORROW!" I declared and left the kitchen table with fire in my eyes.

(Y/n pov)

I marched out of my room with the article in hand. I have memorized the whole thing and I was so proud of myself! I'm sure Hendery would be too!

As I got to the living room, I noticed that they had a meeting.

"Oh, Y/n's here." Doyoung exclaimed.

Taeyong, who stood in front of everyone turned to look at me. He smiled and I understood that he wanted me to take a seat.

I quickly found my brother that had a big bandage over his whole arm. He was still recovering from the gunshot.

I chose to sit by him, to kinda show that I'm starting to warm up to the idea of being close with him again.

Taeyong the proceeded with the meeting. "Red velvet are now in jail, and I have already received threats from other gangs. They really think they still have a chance against us." Taeyong told us and some started laughing.

I've seen them a bit in action, and they're totally crazy. They're merciless and they treat every enemy the same, even if they have been a part of their family.

"But we're lucky! Bighit didn't manage to claim them before they got busted!" Taeyong continued.

If Bighit got an additional 5... We would've been in hot water.

"Since it's less than 2 months left now, we must continue our training. Kun will help Hendery with his training, and Mark will help Y/n." Taeyong declared. After that he let everyone di their thing.

Now things were getting real and my heart started beating faster. I won't necessarily participate in the championship, but someone has to protect the headquarters in the mean time.

I could feel Yutas dread as he walked up to Taeyong. Before he could say anything to our boss, he interrupted. "You won't train now, you're still recovering."

Yuta ruffled his hair with his healthy arm and went down to his office.

Shotaro looked tired as he walked into the living room. "What did I miss?" he asked. He is down at the bar and handles everything. Every night and he has no one there to help him.

"Shotaro, you should consider hiring some backup. You're loosing too much sleep, and the championship is coming up." I told my childhood friend in Japanese. He would probably take me more seriously if I spoke to him lile we did when we were young.

"Yeah, but the person must be a gang member." he explained as a familiar figure sneaked up behind us. He had his usual sunglass, casual clothes combo.

"I could help ya!" Haechan said. Haechan didn't really have a solid job in this gang, so that would be perfect for both if them, a win-win situation if you will.

Shotaro looked unsure. I know why one would decline Haechans offer, but the guy has endless energy and he would be able to sell hundreds of drinks!

I grabbed Shotaros shouldera and looked into his eyes. "You need it." I told him. He closed his eyes and exhaled.

I let go of his shoulders as he opened his eyes again.
