Summary: Naruto doesn't leave Konoha to train, so Sasuke needs a replacement earlier than expected.

"Your name shall be Sai." A deep and raspy voice ordered from the shadows of the finely carved cave. A thirteen-year-old boy with a pale face and pitch black hair nodded before getting off his knees.

"Yes, Danzo-sama." And with that, the boy seemingly vanished into thin air, shunshining away to prepare for his next assignment.

Meanwhile, in another part of Konoha, a blonde boy with tan skin was punching a thick wooden post. The boy was angry, thinking about a former teammate that had gone rogue two months ago, he didn't even flinch when the strain on his knuckles caused the skin to tear, focusing only on the dent he had made in the post without using any chakra.

He could hear his teammate coming from a mile away, even through the meliodas thunk of his fist against wood, but he waited for her to make herself known, which was shortly after. "Naruto-baka, your hands are bleeding!" She scolded, moving to the excuse to practice her healing. She knitted the skin on his knuckles slowly, both hands taking about five minutes, all while Naruto tried to keep from letting his face show that she hadn't numbed the area properly and he could feel his knuckles burn and twist with chakra.

When she finished, she held a triumphant smirk. "You're getting better, Sakura-chan!" He said happily reassuring the already confident girl.

The rosette wilted a little after a second. "Well I need to get better, I couldn't do anything for Sas-"

"Woooow, it's getting late, don't your parents like you home before nightfall?" He said, squinting at the obviously darkening sky, his teammate cursed under her breath before running off to her family.
