Felix's POV

Lupin guided me into the green fire, shouting "Number 12, Grimmauld Place!" before we were magically transported into the dark, somewhat familiar living room.

He held my hand as we flooed, ensuring I'd land in the correct place. When we stepped into the living room, he let go of my hand, and I felt lost without his hand to guide me.

Lupin stepped back and looked me over, his thoughts clear to me as I didn't yet know how to control my new powers.

I can't believe it's him! My baby! I thought we lost him....Sirius was so distraught...Sirius...

His eyes stared at the floor and I awkwardly reached for his hand again, hoping that holding his hand did for him what it did for me. As I reached out, he looked up at me again, and I could see tears gathering in his eyes.

"I missed you so much Felix...when you were stolen, I thought I'd never see you again...I just wish Sirius was alive to see you..." He trailed off, looking at the floor again as a tear silently slid down his cheek.

Hearing the last part sent a jolt through me as I remembered something. I quickly rolled the parchment back out and showed it to him.

"I thought this was odd earlier, but didn't have time to linger on it." I said, excitedly showing him the part of the parchment where it stated clearly:

Father: Sirius Black (Alive)

"It's not possible!" he stammered, grabbing the parchment to analyze it himself. "Dumbledore said the veil killed him..."

As he trailed off, he dropped the paper. Something in his eyes changed, and he clenched his fists with rage, realizing that Dumbledore was not the man he thought he was.

I felt the mood in the room shift and became increasingly scared. My thoughts raced back to Privet Drive and I cowered slightly, closing my eyes, expecting a blow any second. I whimpered slightly and felt my ears lay flat against my head, my tail curling around my waist slightly from where it was tucked in my pants.

I flinched, feeling a hand touch my face and opened my eyes slightly to see Lupin standing in front of me, concern clear in his eyes.

"Are you ok?" he asked in a calm tone, his eyes searching mine for the answer.

"Y-yes..." I whispered, tears welling in my eyes, betraying my wishes to stay strong.

"I'm so sorry baby...I didn't mean to frighten you." he cooed, holding my head to his chest as he lightly rubbed circles on my back. "You're ok. I'm here..."

I let myself be soothed, reminding myself over and over again that Lupin would never hurt me.

After sitting like this for a little while, my stomach started to grumble and Lupin let me go enough to look at me.

" You're so thin...we need to get you something to eat."

"No, I'm ok!" I said, trying to be convincing. "I'm just tired, really."

"Oh..." Lupin trailed off, looking at me skeptically before deciding to trust me. It was the middle of the night after all.

We sat for a bit before he led me up to what would be my room.

It was simple room with plain dark purple wallpaper and dark wood flooring. There was a bed in the middle of the room with tables on either side. A small dresser sat in the corner of the room and a rather ornate body length mirror was placed beside it.
