claire closed the door and heard her phone ding. she took it out of her pocket, expecting to see a text from darci or mary, but to her surprise, it was from jim.
she opened the text and almost screamed. she turned around, looking out the small window of the door. he looking down at his phone and smiling just as big as she was.
jim sighed before turning to walk home when a hand grabbed his arm and spun him around. he turned to be face to face with claire, and without any sudden movements, she leaned up and kissed him.
it was quick, but any longer and she would have come to her senses. she could not believe, she just kissed him.
he couldn't kiss back, he was just frozen. the girl of his dreams, kissed him.
she backed down and he wanted to pull her into another kiss but he still couldn't believe what had just happened

he wanted to say something, anything but all he could muster was "whoa"
she laughed before heading back into the house, smiling.
"looking forward to that date, lake" she yelled.
he heard the door shut and wanted to scream. his hand brushed his lips, he couldn't believe that just happened, he wanted to skip all the way home.
