"If he's a serial killer, then what's the worst that could happen to a girl who's already hurt?"

Jo couldn't help but notice the slight pain in her chest due to the missing blonde.
Jo's mind was spinning. What would Voldemort want to do with her?
Harry was 'The Boy Who Lived', but what was she? Sure, her parents were killed by the Dark Lord, but she couldn't see how that was important...why he wanted her.
She didn't want anyone to get hurt because of her. Enough people have died in vain already. Her parents..Dumbledore...Harry's parents...she couldn't let more people die.
McGonagall's voice pulled her out of her thoughts, "They are supposed to be out of bed, you blithering idiot!"
Jo turned her attention onto the deputy headmistress then following her stare to Filch.
Filch mumbled apologies before she spoke again, "As it happens, Mr. Filch, you're arrival is most opportune." She continued, walking towards the center of the hall, "If you would, I would like you, please, to lead Ms. Parkinson and the rest of Slytherin house from the hall."
Jo's eyes flickered from McGonagall and the rest of the green house, "Professor," Jo interrupted, "No offense, but, I hardly think it is fair to have the whole house suffer for Ms. Parkinson's actions," She stated from the back of the room, eyeing Pansy. Whispers erupted within the hall at her inquiry.
The Head of Gryffindor House stumbled over her words before Jo interrupted again, "Not all Slytherins are evil, Professor." She smiled while making her way towards the witch.
McGonagall's pulled her lips into a tight smile, "Very well, Miss Granger." She turned her attention back towards Filch, "Please escort Ms. Parkinson and anyone else who agrees with her to the dungeons."
Filch nodded at her request and began to lead some of Slytherin house out of the Great Hall.

Jo quickly slipped out of the Great Hall, making her way towards the Headmaster's office. She knew Dumbledore kept a pensieve in his office. She could only hope Snape kept it. She also knew that the portraits of past Headmasters hung on the walls.
"Chocolate Frogs," she spoke quietly before the statue began to turn. She sighed inwardly and proceeded up the stairs.
As she entered the circular room, she couldn't help but feel the dark magic swirling through the air. Snape hadn't changed the room much, keeping most of it looking like it had the previous school year. However, a new portrait was added to the wall of past headmasters. A smiling Dumbledore looked down at her.
"Headmaster?" Jo questioned at the portrait.
"Why hello there, Miss Granger," the portrait replied. "Any specific reason as to why you are lurking around in the Headmaster's office?"
Jo sucked in a breath, "Yes, actually. I was hoping to talk to you, Professor." He quirked an eyebrow at her, "I assume you knew my mother?"
Her smiled at her, "Why yes, Miss Granger, I did." He raised his brows, "Or should I say Miss Bell."
She let a small smile grow on her lips, "Do you happen to know why Voldemort it so interested in me?" She asked, getting straight to the point. It wouldn't be long before someone noticed her absence and went looking.
"Well, Miss Bell, I hopefully have an answer to all of the questions floating around in your head." He lifted a hand, raising it to point at the pensieve's cupboard in the corner. "All of your mother's most important memories are stored in there," he continued, "She knew you would want to see them one day."
