She woke up
She went to school
People laughed
What else was new

She took the bus
They called her names
And when she got home
The tears finally came

She looked in the mirror
Her face smudged and pale
She turned around
And stepped on the scale

She understood
Why they were so mean
She was disgusting
Or so it seemed

Their words cut deep
Like razors on skin
The voices that haunted her
The ones that broke in

She finally gave up
She was too sad
She then let go
Of the life she had
