Callista giggled as she ran up the hill following after Harry. "Harry, wait! I can't keep up!" She panted after him and put her palms on her knees trying to catch her breath. She looked up to see him smiling and walking back over by her, pulling up the baggy clothes he wore.
"Sorry Cali. You need to be faster!" She rolled her eyes and playfully hit his shoulder, he stuck his tongue out at her and they both sat down on the merry go round at the park. They were spinning around aimlessly laying down and looking up at the sky, looking at the shapes of the clouds pointing of different things that they looked like.
"Harry, will we always be friends?" She turned her head over to look at him, and he looked over at her and looked into her eyes and smiled.
"Of course we will Cali, you are my best friend for a reason." She smiled and giggled again.
"That's because I'm your only friend Harry."
He shook his head and looked back at the sky. "No Cali, it's more than that. I can feel it somewhere inside me that it's more then that."
Callista sat up and held out her small hand to him sticking out her pinky. "Promise me Harry. Right here, right now." He looked at her oddly for a second and then sat up and wrapped his pinky around hers.
"I, Harry James Potter, promise to always be Callista Elladora Black's best friend." Cali smiled and repeated after him.
"I, Callista Elladora Black, promise to always be Harry James Potter's best friend forever." They both smiled, while their cheeks slightly flushed pink from excitement as they watched the afternoon sky start to turn pink into the evening.
"Harry Potter!" He flinched when he heard his name being screamed by the only and only Vernon Dursley. "Sorry Cali, I got to go. Tomorrow okay?"
Cali nodded sadly, they hugged each other tightly before they went separate ways. Callista walked down two doors while Harry walked into his they both waved goodbye. Little did they know that this would be the last time they would be seeing each other for awhile..
10 Months Later...
Callista sighed, she was sitting down on the old swing-set at the park by herself trying to avoid the other little kids who were there screaming and laughing. She hadn't seen or heard from Harry in 10 months from the last time they were in the park together. She was utterly upset, what happened to being best friends forever? They pinky promised. She sniffled slightly and looked down to see little water droplets on the sand. She frowned and put her hands to her cheeks feeling the wetness there, she sighed and wiped away her tears.
"Cali? Why are you crying?"
She looked up, her eyes went wide when she saw Harry standing in front of her. "H-Harry?!" He smiled and nodded. She jumped up from her swing and threw herself at him, tackling him to the ground.
"Where have you been! I missed you! Wait, I'm very upset with you, you little bugger!" She hit him in the arms a few times before hugging him tightly. She could feel him laughing under her and she looked up staring into his green eyes.
"I'm sorry Cali. The Dursley's sent me to some errr....new private school and they sent me there right away. I didn't have time to do anything."
Callista looked at him suspicously but shook the thought away and kept hugging him. " I don't even care anymore. I missed you so much Harry!" She smiled when he hugged her back tightly.
"I missed you too Cali." They landed up laughing, playing, and catching up with each other for the rest of the day.
This continued for another two years. Harry would disappear for 10 months and come back for the other 2 months during the summer and they would pick up their friendship where it left off. Callista couldn't help but notice when he started becoming more secrective during her 13 birthday and that's when everything changed..
