Cali sighed and rested her head against her arms sitting in the great hall, a headache pulsing in her head. The ghost horsemen didn't help much , neither did hearing Malfoy complain about his arm with Pansy. She hated that girl with a passion ever since potions class with the girl, she had deliberately made a potion blow up in her face!
"Does it hurt terribly Draco?" Pansy said in her nasally voice, Cali rolled her eyes and closed her eyes.
"It comes and it goes. I still consider myself lucky. If it wasn't for Madame Pomfrey, another minute or two I could have lost my arm; couldn't possibly do any homework for weeks."
Cali scoffed and looked up to see Ron glaring at the the table. "He's really laying it on thick isn't he?" Harry pushed around his food and glanced up.
"Yeah but at least Hagrid didn't get fired." Cali lifted her head up and rested her head against her hand.
"But I hear Draco's father is furious. We haven't heard the end of this." The three of them glanced at her, she shrugged slightly.
"You hear things when no one notices your around." Harry frowned and Hermione patted her shoulder offering her a small smile.
"He's been sighted! He's been sighted!" Seamus ran down the hall holding the Daily Prophet in his hand and threw it on the table. "
Who?" Ron was making his way over to the crowd of people.
"Sirius Black!"
The whole crowd gasped as they looked down at the paper."Dufftown? That's not far from here." Hermione glanced up at Harry then back to the paper, Neville gulped.
"You don't think he'd come to Hogwarts do you?" He stuttered out and glanced around the room.
Some kids rolled their eyes. "With dementors at every entrance?"
Seamus looked at them and scoffed looking smug, "Dementors? He slipped past them once, who's to say he wont do it again?" Cali looked down at the prophet staring the man she frowned, he looked so familiar.
"That's right, Black could be anywhere. It's like trying to catch smoke. Like trying to catch smoke with your bare hands.."
Professor McGongall walked down the narrow strip walking towards them. Everyone split up and put the paper under books and pretended to be indifferent, she narrowed her eyes slightly before she huffed out a breath and walked back down. Cali yelped quietly when someone nudged her, she glanced up wide-eyed to see Harry.
"Oh, it's you Harry.." She nervously laughed and looked down at the table shifting in her seat.
"Come on Cali, lets go to Defense Against the Dark Arts.." He looked at her cautiously before getting Ron who was trying to peak at the Prophet again. They left the great hall and went into the Defense Against the Dark Arts.
They all stood in front of a huge cupboard that shook every once in awhile and jumped forward, Cali gasped slightly and moved behind Harry and peered around him staring at the thing.
"Intriguing, isn't it?" They heard a voice from up in the balcony and glanced up to see Lupin walking down the stairs to the cupboard. The thing jumped again and Cali hid her face into his shoulder she felt her hand being squeezed gently. She glanced up to see Harry giving her a crooked smile, she smiled back while blushing a light pink.
"Would anyone like to venture a guess as to what is inside?"
A boy named Thomas answered. "That's a boggart that is." Lupin nodded and came to the front of the class.
"Very good." Lupin glanced at Harry and Cali giving them a pointed glare which made them both flush pink and drop away from each other, stealing secret glances.
