Jayden's POV
I was in the hospital working, I'm checking up on my pregnant patient when the telephone started to ring.
“Hold on for a minute” I told my patient.
“Good afternoon, this is Dr. Jeon speaking”
[Jayden...]
“Hey, are you hurt? What do you feel?”
[Daddy, I want sushi]
“B-baby I told you don't call me on this number if it's not emergency”
[This is an emergency I'm craving sushi... and I miss you]
“Okay just wait... I'm out at 5pm, you need to wait 4 hours, I promise I'll come home with sushi”
[No! I want you now daddy]
She was starting to get annoyed.
“Love, I'm still working”
[Then don't come home if you don't want! You'll sleep on the couch]
“Wife—” She ended the call, I sighed.
“U-uh, I'm sorry Mrs. Lee... it was my wife, she's pregnant too”
“Really? Congrats. How long?” She said.
“Thanks, 18 weeks” I said
“Do you know the gender already?”
“Not yet, I'll probably bring her this week... I might actually be her doctor” I said.
“Really that's sweet” She said.
“Dr. Jeon can I ask you something”
“Sure”
“Is it tiring to take care of your pregnant wife?” she asked.
I smile thinking about my wife.
“You know with all the cravings, mood swings and shits... I want to know how a husband feels with taking care of their wife”
“It's normal for a woman to have cravings and mood swings especially when pregnant so as a husband I understand that. Is it tiring? It's annoying sometimes, but it's not tiring, seeing my wife happy makes me happy, so I always try my best to satisfy her cravings so I can see a smile on her face, seeing her smile means the world to me... I love my wife and I will never get tired of her” I said.
“That's really sweet of you Dr. Jeon” She said.
“I'm sure your husband feels the same way as me” I said, and she smiled at me.
“Tell your husband to catch up with me sometimes, we could go out for a drink and rant about our wife” I said jokingly, she laughed.
“Just kidding... but if he ever needs some husband advice he can come see me. Tell him that okay?”
“I will” She said and smiled.
