chapter forty-five

Ooo~ final battle time!

Lloyd P.O.V

I wake up groggily.
I have no idea how long I've been out for, I don't even know where I am.

The world looks black, as if I'm in some sort massive black box; there's inch deep water beneath me.
It makes me shiver, violently.

I simply just lie here, in the freezing water.
Why do I feel so tired and numb.
My eyelids are heavy.

"Lloyd! Don't fall asleep!"

Why? I'm so tired though.
"Lloyd! If you sleep, you'll never wake again! Stay awake!"
I recognise, the voice but it's still unfamiliar.

"But I'm sleepy."
I quietly argue back, to the familiar voice.

Why don't I remember anything? Where even am I.
The last thing I remember, was being dragged away from Nya and tortured by Mr Jade.
I know I should be pissed, but I'm too tired too care.

"Come on Lloyd, Ninjago needs you!"
Ninjago...needs me?
"Why?"

I feel gentle hands hold me up.
I force my eyes too gently flutter open.
I recognise the face, but from where.

My mouth answers answers my question, before I can think about it more.
"Grandpa...."

He smiles at me.
"Why can't I sleep? I'm tired Grandpa."

My grandfather, as the same face shape as me and skin tone, he has golden/brown eyes and no whites like me.
His hair is long and white, held in a long plait down his back.
He wearing the similar sensei robes to master Wu and the same straw hat.

"You can't sleep, not yet at least. You have too get back too your family."
My head feels like it's full of cloth.
"My....family.....what family?"

He looks sad.
"Your friends, your sister Mia. Kai."

Everything comes back too me.
Now I want too wake up, but I feel so weak and limp.
My eyes were just begging to close.

"What can I do?"

"What the hell is this guy?!"
Jay yelled, clutching his side.

The Overlord only laughed, throwing Zane too side and chucking his blade in the water, causing a mini iceberg to appear.

"And we don't even have the full team."
A twang of pain hit each one of ninja's hearts.
"Yeah, Nya too weak to fight."
Jay began, sadly still trying to stop his bleeding.
"And L's dead."
Kai finished with bloodshot eyes.

That morning, Kai had left to check on him only too find he wasn't breathing.
He desperately called for the other ninja and Wu and Zane pronounced him dead.
Blair had been forced too turn invisible as not to be noticed and find a new vessel.

And belive me when I say he was fucking furious.
To the point of tearing up Islands and ruining random peoples day.
Why when he got a good vessel he liked it went wrong.

The ninja continued to try and attack the Overlord, he simply just broke there blades, injured them and tore their gis.
"It's impossible!"

Jay moaned.
"No! We just have to keep fighting brothers!" Zane told them, somehow exhausted too.

"You can't win, you'll just get yourself killed."
The Overlord laughed, catching Cole by his collar and threw him into the water.

"Cole!"
Kai called as he was knocked unconscious.

"No. I do believe Jayson is correct."
Zane spoke it, his arm had fallen off and the paint on his face had peeled off.
"Only a green ninja, has a chance to beat him. And those ninja have now departed."

Kai felt fear creep up his spine, was this really how he was going to die?
Just trying to hard, because he felt he'd failed someone who was already long dead.

The Overlord laughed.
"Ya know, after 4,000 years of me killing them you'd really think they'd stop sending  them. But no."
He told them, proud of how many green ninjas he'd manipulated and killed.

His anger was rising.
He wanted to just burn that motherfucker into the ground.
Just how many teenagers and innocent children had he mercilessly murdered. Why did the universe think it was ok, to let all those lives go?

His hand became a light of powerful roaring fire.
The Overlord, only continued to laugh.
"Oh! Did I strike a nerve?"
He pretended to pout, putting on a baby voice.

Kai felt himself shake with pure fury.
How dare, he think it was funny.

The Overlord's laughs were cut off, by a golden katana, pinning him too a tree.
The Katana turned blunt and back in the wood, but was too deep in the tree and cape too let him go.

The ninja all swiveled there heads, and couldn't believe who was standing there.
