Oh I so should've seen this type of shit coming when Damien put me in his scope. Here is this, hate to admit it, talented crew member on a well-known TV show. He was good looking, very charming and charismatic and had a way of controlling situations to benefit himself. Not to mention he had grown the reputation of the ladies man on set, like I said, I should have seen it coming when he took interest in myself.

Turns out I was amongst the many women he had also taken photos of while I was out cold from the booze-fest afterparties. Sure, my tits weren't out and everything belong the waist was barely covered, it was the shear cockiness of his actions that pissed me off the most. I was going to kill that prick the next time I saw him. Getting fired would be worth it.

By the time Pete had pulled up just outside my building my fists were tightly coiled up and I just wanted to smash anything. Pete had given me his phone and I went through all the photos Damien had posted. I felt sick. There were loads of girls and even though I hadn't been working at the studio for too long, I'm pretty sure I never encountered any of these women.

"Why don't you say something to the boss about this shit?" I had asked him. True to a typical Hollywood story, there was some sort of information that prevented anyone from reporting Damien. He knew people in high places...apparently. Probably a sex tape or drug taking caught on video.

I stared back at Pete as he was still talking about Damien's escapades on set. Handing him back his phone I closed my eyes and took a deep breath in. I felt a migraine coming along.

"You know what Pete, thanks for the ride, the info, the conversation and all but I think I'm done talking about that dickhead for a while. Much less the joy of having to work around the bastard". I smiled and was about to get out only to feel a hand grab a hold of the shoulder of my jacket.

I turned to him with furrowed and angry eyebrows. Do all the men on SNL think they can score with every woman they meet?!

"You wanna talk about other stuff then?"

I was about to laugh hard until I noticed his facial expression hadn't changed in the slightest from the serious one he had on now. He was starting to have that face equivalent to puppy dog eyes.

"What game you playin' Davidson?"

"What. I mean, not like I'm doing anything after this"

"Thought you were getting food for you and your missus"

"She can wait. She makes me do it"

"Bit harsh on your girl"

"We'll see. So imma park up and we'll head up to your place"

"I'm not fucking you for the last damn time"

"We'll see about that in the future pretty lady"

"Excuse me"

"You heard me".

----

Pete drove off before I could say anything much less comprehend what he had just said. He told me not to move and after five minutes, I went to my purse to pull my keys out. Hell no I wasn't standing outside waiting for him. Just as I had my keys out Pete came running around the corner, funnily enough with a cigarette in his mouth.

"Wait up yo" he laughed as he puffed some smoke out while it was still dangling in between his lips.

"What are you a steam train or something?" and I pulled it from his lips and stubbed it out and placed it behind his ear "and no smoking in my house. Shane will flip."

"Oh shit, I didn't know you had a boyfriend, I better go" and he began walking backwards.

"Well he's my fabulous roommate but I'll see you next week then" and I placed my keys in the lock and unlocked the door, turning the outside light on and shut the door behind me.

----

"Roommate eh?" Pete was looking at a few photos of Shane and I on the wall. I put the kettle on and pulled out two mugs from the cupboard. Placing a loose bit of hair behind my ear I quickly glanced over at Pete. He was staring at a picture of my grandmother and me. We were in the hospital for a Christmas visit. She was going through chemo for her breast cancer that had come back for the second time. She was gaunt and had nothing but a scarf wrapped around the top of her head but she had the biggest smile on her face. I was looking at her as the photo was taken. What broke my heart was that it was the last photo she ever took where she was smiling.

"Yes, roommate. You can meet him if you stay long enough" I joked as I leaned against the counter, waiting for the kettle to boil. I was expecting him to stay maybe for a coffee and then head out.

"Yea, that sounds cool"

Pete eventually sat down at the kitchen table and leaned his head on his hand as he just stared back at me.

"Eye problem?"

"Course not pretty lady"

I rolled my eyes as I turned around and began making our coffees while hearing Pete's laughter in the background.
