After Tour - May 10th
Brianna's POV
I wake up. It was five days till my birthday. I didn't tell them I was turning sixteen in less than a week, I will tell them afterwards. I don't like being spoiled one bit.
In other news, I already went through moving in with Thomas and his family. They already know about what happened with my family.
"Bri, breakfast is ready," Thomas called. "Okay, come help?" I say.
"Okay, I am coming with your food," Thomas said. He opened the door and his hands were full of food; eggs, sausage patties, hash browns, toast and a glass of grape juice. My favorite.
"Thank you Thomas," I smile. I grab the platter from him. He smiles back and his phone rings.
"Hello?.. Yeah... Wait, who is this?... Who?... Okay, and why are you calling me?... Fine." He handed me the phone, I held it in my hand.
"Brianna," his voice breathed. My father? "Is it-" I was cut off. "Yes. It is you dad. I am getting bailed by my sister. I get to-" I hung up. I feel tears in my eyes.
"He is getting bailed."
"By who?" Thomas asks. "His sister, she is just as evil as he is, that son of a-" my phone rang. I look at the caller ID. Toby.
"It's Toby, thank you for the breakfast Thomas." I smile, fake of course. He nods and walks out. I answer the call.
"Hey babe," I smile. "Hey boo," Toby says. He shuffles a bit. "I was wondering if you wanted to come over," Toby says. "Okay, I'll be there within the hour," I say. "Okay. Sounds good, I love you." Toby says and we say our goodbyes before he hangs up. I eat up my food and pull up my wheelchair.
I didn't bother to call anyone. I could get up myself. I get in my wheelchair and go to my desk. I brush my hair and put on some red lipstick and eyeliner. I put my hair in a messy bun and didn't bother to change. I was in shorts and a gray tank top. I didn't care, he was my boyfriend.
I call him and listen to the rings.
"Hello?" Toby asked. "I am ready, meet me at the door," I smile. "Okay, I'll be there. Hold on," Toby says. "Okay. I love you, bye." I said through the phone. I wheel down the ramp I use to go downstairs and wait at the door. "Thomas! I am going over to McDonoughs'!" I yell and he says okay.
Toby's figure pops behind the door and I open it up. "Okay, wheel me over.. My arms are tired already," I groan. Toby giggles and goes behind me. Toby pushes me over to his house.
"So Toby, what do you wanna do?" I ask with a smile. He smiles back and says, "I just wanted to see you." I smile wider with a pink tint, he never fails to make me blush. "Oh, okay. Wanna watch a movie, then?" I ask. "Sounds great," Toby says. He wheels me over to the couch when all of a sudden, a window shattered and a bullet flew through the window and hit me in the spine. Toby was in the process of putting me on the couch.
And it all happened in a matter of seconds...
I feel to the floor and let out a grunt. I was bleeding out a warm sticky substance as I heard nothing. I fell asleep...
I wake up to white walls and beep, beep, beep... I couldn't move. It hurt too much. I look around without moving my aching head.
Nothing but white walls...
Then the door opened and closed. "Ms Brianna, good news! The doctors that told you, you were paralyzed, didn't have the tools to remove a piece of plastic that caused paralyzing. We do, but the bullet took it out for us. We did get staples in you. You aren't paralyzed anymore, your legs will probably be sore for awhile though. We are going to have you overnight to make sure you can walk properly." The doctor says. I felt shocked. I was so overwhelmed.
I started to cry tears of joy. I could use my feet, legs, hips, toes. Everything. "Thank you so much," I say with a smile. I wiggle my toes. I could really feel them. "You're welcome, your boyfriend, and foster family want to see you. I will give you a few minutes though." He says returning the smile.
