Later That Day
I got home and noticed it was extremely quiet. I check the time, it was five in the afternoon. Everyone should be up, mom should be making dinner about now. What happened?
I walk farther in, I turn on the light and all I hear is Surprise! I jump back in fear and scream. I hear Toby laugh. I look around. My family and the McDonough's were here. Then, I saw.. I saw my sisters.
I run over to them. They were both so beautiful. "Ella! Kat!" I begin to cry on Ella's shoulder. I was so happy to see them. I haven't seen them in years. They live with my grandmother. Well, our grandmother. I haven't seen them in seven years.
Ella was fourteen. She has long, straight, brown hair framing over her left blue eye, but leaving out her green eye. She was about five inches shorter than me.
Kat, ah. She has blonde, wavy hair. Kat has purple eyes and freckles underlining them. She was four foot, nine with a hourglass shape body. She was perfect, and she was only twelve.
"Bri, I love your outfit." Kat says. She smiles wide at me. "Thank you, Kat. Oh, there is someone I want you to meet," I smile. I call Toby. He walks over with his hands in his pockets. Then, once he is beside me, his hand went around my waist. He pulled me skin close and I smiled.
"Kat, and Ella. This is Toby, my boyfriend." I smile as I gently kiss his lips for about five seconds. "Toby, these are my sisters, Kat and Ella." I said pointing to them. "Nice to meet you," Kat smiled. "Same to you," Toby nods.
"So, how long have you been dating?" Ella asks. "About two months," Toby said. "Aw, you guys are so cute!" Kat says. I blush and look down. "You guys, I love you so much. I missed you so much a-and I just wish I could see you more often and it's all my fault." I say, and I really meant it. It broke my heart that I wasn't there for my sisters. "Bri, you are absolutely fine. You are great actually," Kat says smiling at me.

"Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday, Bri.
Happy birthday to you." Everyone chorused in the dark room lit with two candles marked 16. They all clapped when the room was dark and smoke popped out in replace of the fire. It scented my nose as a bitter taste and I whip it away with my hands. The light came on and my mom started to cut the cake.
I had a princess cake. The kind I've always dreamed of since I was five. I have drawing of it. It had five tears, white, whipped icing, and fruits squeezed inside. Strawberries, bananas, blueberries and pineapple. It was the absolute greatest taste that I have longed for, for eleven years.
"Happy sweet sixteen beautiful," Toby said. Toby was behind me, his hands wrapped around me. His chin nuzzled in my shoulder. I look over at him. "Thanks babe," I mumble. He nuzzled his chin into my collar bone and I suddenly felt a strange sensation come through me.
"Toby, I-I think I need to lay down," I whisper as my eyes start drooping. I wasn't tired. It was only six.
"Okay," Toby stops cuddling up next to me and holds my hand. I lightly grab his hand back. Toby guides me up the steps. He opens up my bedroom door. Then, a headache came on. "Shit," I say. Loud enough, but only Toby couldn't hear.
I walk into my room. I could feel my head pound against the walls, twenty feet away. My eyes felt weak. I lay down and immediately go to sleep. Sleep will help, I thought.
