Chapter 9

CALI'S POV

I woke up to Sam humming to my favourite song. I roll ove and see him with my iPod and I start to laugh.
Sam turns around and smiles," Have a nice nap beautiful?" I smile, nod, and look at the clock.

"Don't worry, we aren't leaving till five, it's only 3:30."

I get up and look for something to wear. I pick my outfit and walk to the bathroom to change.

SAM'S POV
"Cali! It's been 30 minutes, how long does it take to change?" I ask while looking at my phone.

"I'my doing my makeup silly!" She yells back a she opens the door." Finally!" I joke going to hug her.

"Hey, it's not like I took one hour like most girls. Come on, let's go play video games." She say and drags me to the game room.

-----1 hour later-----

TAYLOR'S POV

"Sam! Cali!" I call out walking into the house from my jog.

"Yes?" I hear Sam yell from Cali's room." Stop making a sex tape!" I joke," y'all need to leave soon it five!!"

As I walk to the kitchen to get water I feel Cali jump on my back saying," We were not making a fricking sex tape you dick!" She jumps off and playfully punches me in the arm, sticking her tongue out.

"Come on Cali we need to go if we are going to make it on time!" Sam says hugging her from behind.

When I see him do that it reminds me of Vicky; I start to cry and fall to the ground.

CALI'S POV

Ty falls to the ground crying. I push sam off me harsher than I ment too. And I knee down to be face to face with my brother.

"Taytay, it's okay! She's gone, they can hurt you anymore." I say, hugging him, trying to reassure him. Sam helps me lift up taylor and walk him to the couch.

"Cali?" Sam asks pulling aside. Then I realize he doesn't understand what's happening.

"His ex-girlfriend slept with his best friend. He broke up with her the minute he heard and yelled at her and his best friend. He still getting over everything." I explain and walk back to my brother, hug him and whisper," to the moon and back big bro."

SAM'S POV

As we pull up to the destination I put a blind fold on Cali. At first she resisted then gave in.

"Where are we?" She asks," feels like we are walking on dirt." I start to laugh and take off her blind fold.

After she opens her eyes and looks around, she looks at me questionably, confussed.I take a deep breath and start to speak," when I was 13 I was told I had depression. I was really hard on my cause I held it all in, so I would run away . To get away for people, family, friends. Really I was trying to run away from myself. One day when I was running, I ended up here. I feel calm here, relaxed, free. I laid down, looked up at the stars, and dreamt of a better place."I didn't know what else to say I just looked at Cali, looking at the setting sky. I saw her frown, smile,frown. It was a cycle, a warning, her medicine wearing off.

Suddenly she was crying. I pulled her close, closer than ever. I breathed her sent, rose, in and smiled.

I leaned back, wiped her tears, and looked her right in the eyes.
"Cali Tory, will you be my girlfriend? I know we only just met,but I feel like I have known you forever and...."

I didn't know I was blabbering until she kissed me, on the lips. When she pulled back she smiled and said," Of course I will be your girlfriend!"

With that, I got the blanket and we laid in the field.

CALI'S POV

He took me to the most beautiful field ever to be seen. There was so many flowers in the opening and trees surrounding it. Like a little peace of heave that fell from the sky.

He asked me to be his girlfriend, even though we only just personally met, I have known him, and who he is for years.

I said yes, of course!

---at home---

TAYLOR'S POV

Tomorrow me and Tyler are going to get lunch and talk in person. Cali doesn't know yet so I plan to tell her in the morning.

All I can think about at the moment is her and sam, in that field he showed me. Laying under the stars, alone.
I want to call her, tell her to come home, but I know Sam will do any and everything to keep her safe.

I close my eyes for a few minutes, just thinking about everything.

When I open my eyes the clock reads 8pm and I see SAMs car pull into the drive way. Dads are already in bed, asleep. I head to my room when I hear Cali say bye to Sam and then,"TAYLOR!?!?"

Oh god can't this wait till morning?
