(After several attempts, I finally managed to add another picture in this book ;-; :'))
EPHEMERAL
(adj.) lasting for a very short time.
Ephemeral sounds really pretty. In my opinion, it shouldn't just mean "lasting for a very short time". But I guess some good and beautiful things only last for a very short time, don't they? This word is good for describing a meteor or a comet maybe. Or something that streaked by very fast.
Examples:
For a second, an iridescent blur flashed past my face and I stumbled back to look at it closer, but the ephemeral hummingbird had already flew out of sight.
A small bright star streaked across the dark night sky and she rubbed her eyes and pressed her face against the cool glass of the window to get a closer look, but the ephemeral comet had left just as fast as it had come.
Ah, this word is beautiful. And there are more amazing words to come!
