It's been several weeks since my visit to Hagrid's Hut. Potions class is still the same. Cold, dark, silent, and all eyes on me whenever father calls on me. Well, I did pay a visit to father's office the day after the first potions class. Hagrid told me to do so. I guess he was right, it helped me realize father isn't really mad at me. He told me how mum was also in Gryffindor and he will not, under any condition, treat me any differently than the other students. I accepted that because if he did, who knows, the others may start to hate me. That is the last thing I want.

He then admitted how at first he was a little worried about me being in Gryffindor because when he was once in school there was a group of Gryffindors that were terribly rude. Although he didn't mention their names, he told me never to pick on or think badly of Slytherins. I understood what he meant. So many wizards think those in the Slytherin house are all bad and evil. Starting with Katie and Cho. Other than that, I believe things are alright with father. I usually go down to the dungeons and visit him once a week on Saturdays.

Tomorrow is Halloween, and there will be a great feast like every year. Hagrid's pumpkins will be carved and floating around in the Great Hall. They are always bigger each year, as he claims to use some 'help,' but I know he's using magic even though he isn't allowed.

Today is Thursday, which means Flying lessons and Charms class. Professor Flitwick isn't so bad and I find learning the different spells fun. On the other hand, broomsticks. Not a big fan of those.

I had put my shirt on, and a scarlet tie with golden lines running diagonally. My vest and black robe with a Gryffindor symbol on. Finally, I pulled my socks up, which almost reached my skirt. I grabbed my wand and books, headed out of the dormitory and into the Gryffindor common room.

"Wait up!" Maia was catching up to me as I tried to find Juniper. Me, Juniper, and Maia all had Charms Class together.

Juniper was coming down from the boy's dormitory through the spiraling staircase. Maia and I were waiting for him.

"How much time do we have?"

"10 minutes--9 now. Hurry up!"

Juniper was still putting his shoes on as he looked at Maia's threatening face.

"Okay, let's go." We headed out through the big portrait of the fat lady. Walking down the moving marble staircases, we caught up to Finn. He had History of Magic, which was right next to Charms class.

"What's that?" He was looking at my chest, which made me feel quite uncomfortable till I realized what he was looking at.

"Oh--um--that's my necklace," I said, attempting to tuck it under my vest. I must have forgotten to do so back in the dormitory. I was in a rush.

"That looked so familiar. Er-- where might you have gotten that?" Juniper asked.

I tried to answer but we were all walking so fast and only had a little time before we would be late.

"I don' know. My father gave it to me couple of years ago."

"Strange-- felt like I've seen it before somewhere-- maybe in a book. Do you know--"

"LATER! Juniper we have no time right now answering your questions and blabbing about books!" Maia exclaimed.

Finn made a right, as we ran into the left corridor. We were sprinting now and barely made it. Professor Flitwick was behind all the books, he was too short to be able to see us enter.

We quietly approached our seats and sat down. Soon class began.

"Expelliarmus! The simple yet powerful disarming charm."
