"Will you three be sleeping in here?" Madam Pince asked as she came to the table we were sitting at.

"Hide the--Hide it." Maia quickly whispered into my ear. I took the necklace and put it back into the left pocket of my robe.

"But doesn't the Library close at eight o' clock?"

"Yes Mr. Towler, but today is Halloween. The library closes at five."

I looked at Maia, both of our eyes were wide open. We spent almost 4 hours in the library?

"Will you be checking that out Ms. Rivers?" she pointed to the book Maia was holding.

"Yes please--."

"Very well. Please come quick." We checked the book out just in case we need it for future reference.

We left the library and were heading back to the dormitories. I now need to find a safer place to keep my necklace. I usually keep it in my nightstand but Maia offered to keep it in this old grey chest she got from her mother. Apparently, it can only be unlocked when someone says the secret phrase, "Offne de Ture." It translates to Open the Chest in German. Maia was a half-blood and of German and Indian descent.

The feast was starting in a half an hour at six o'clock.

"When are you going to get the quills from Snape?" asked Juniper.

"Why don't you get it while we're at the party--." Maia really can't keep her mouth shut, can she?

"Party? What party are you guys going to?" Oh-no.

"Juniper--There's a party in the Slytherin common room tonight... after the feast," I felt so bad for not inviting him.

"How are you going to get into their common room? Were you invited?"

I looked at Maia. She began to explain how I was invited and we were going tonight and how we can sneak into Professor Snape's storeroom.

I could tell by his face he was sad. I felt really bad and also because I never even told him till now.

"Oh--I see. Well, you can get the quills when you're down there. For now, I think it's best if we head to the Great Hall," Juniper said in a brittle voice, very unlike his usually loud and quivering self. He left our dormitory and headed down.

"Sorry--I didn't mean to tell--it just slipped out."

"He was going to find out soon--It's alright. We better get going," I said looking at the big clock in the Gryffindor common room.

The Great Hall was festooned with sweat-filled floating pumpkins and bats screeching as they flew from one side of the hall to the other. There were also orange streamers, water snakes, goblets of colored sweets, and all sorts of Hallowe'en-related decorations. The ghosts floating around trying to scare students by popping out of the tables or the stone-floor.

Dumbledore had finished off with his opening speech and everyone was too busy enjoying their dinner which soon became dessert.

"Are you going to eat that?" Finn asked, staring at my Pumpkin Pasties.

"No, you can have it," I said laughing, he immediately grabbed them off my plate.

I had plenty and was so ready to get back to the dormitories to flop on my bed and sleep. I just remember the night was far from getting any sleep. We still had to go down to the dungeons to pocket the Porcupine Quills.

"Okay--let's go over the plan one more time. Just to be sure"

"You two will go down to the dungeons right after this feast ends. Maia, you will wait by the entrance of the dungeons while Eileen, you grab a good amount of porcupine quills. I will be right outside the Great Hall making sure Professor Snape doesn't leave head back."
