A/N: When I wrote this chapter first time around, I said something about Unicorn of War rewriting Volume 5 of RWBY & comparing it to first chapters. It's ironic because I rewrote this chapter :,)

The atmosphere of the fallen kingdom was sullen. The flowers that once bloomed, have withered. The only one left who could save them was the princess of spring herself. Or was that really the case? The young princess carried three keychains with her around her neck and clutched them tightly. 'Please Precure.. Lend me your power..' Reaching a dead end, she narrowly avoided an energy blast that dispersed into pink roses. "Ahh, looks like I missed.." The voice came from a servant of Regalia. As the roses hit the castle floor, they exploded. The sheer explosive power shattered the floor and the walls. The impact of the wall breaking sent the princess down into her doom. Or so she thought. A warm light emerged from the keychains and protected the young princess. "Ah, she's escaping. Might as well leave my dear princess a goodbye present." The servant conjured up a magic circle and within the palm of her hand, she shot directly at the barrier.

The pink-haired girl woke up in a sweat. Rubbing her eyes, she heard her mother come in.

"Ayame? Oh you're already awake! That's sure a surprise. Get ready and I'll drive you to school, kay?"

"Actually I was thinking of walking to school from now on. After all, I'm in junior high now.. I can't rely on you for everything, mom," Ayame said, crossing her arms.

"Oh, alright! Make sure to not get lost on your way." After her mother left, the pink haired girl dragged herself out of bed and put on her new school uniform.

Looking through her mirror, she smiled to herself. "This is a new beginning for me. I'll have more chances to become a new me!" She then glanced at her clock.

"Already 8!?" Ayame rushed downstairs and took a granola bar on her way out. "Ayame you forgot your lunch!" Ayame's mother called out, holding out her daughter's lunch, but Ayame was already gone.

"This is going to be a long year isn't it, Haruo?" she said as she glanced at a picture.

Ayame was running and running out of breath too. She stopped for a second to catch her own breath. "I'm gonna be late for sure.." She then tripped over something. "Ow.." The pinkette got up and saw a pink cat on the pavement. "Oh my god.. I'm so sorry.." Ayame reached her hand out, but was scratched by the cat.

"Huh.." Ayame was dumbfounded by what happened, that she almost forgot about school.

Ayame finally arrived, albeit probably 45 minutes late. She took a few minutes to admire the cherry blossoms, then she saw a mysterious figure in front of her. The figure had emerald green eyes and hot pink hair in a high ponytail. Somehow she looked familiar... 'No, Ayame! Snap out of it, you're going to be even later than before!' The figure disappeared and Ayame sighed. 'Just my imagination, huh?'

Once Ayame entered the building, she made sure to look for her homeroom. "1-A, 1-A.. There it is!" Ayame quietly opened the classroom door, hoping she could sneak in, but she was caught by the teacher. "You must be Mizuki-san. It's already been an hour since class started and you're the only one who hasn't introduced herself."

Ayame stood at the front of the classroom. She wasn't bad at public speaking, but getting put on the spot was difficult for anyone.

"I-I'm Ayame Mizuki.. Nice to meet you all.."

There was an awkward feeling in the air, but it was interrupted by sudden clapping.

"Alright, everybody settle down! Mizuki-san, your seat is there right next to Akino-san." The teacher pointed to an empty seat next to a blonde haired girl. Ayame slouched into her seat.
