It's been two days since I woke up and Ace decided to have Chris take over for the two weeks of my recovery. I told him that he didn't need to but he insisted and he wouldn't take no for an answer.
He said that he needed to go do something and he will be back soon, so now I am just laying in bed....waiting.
I hear a knock on my door and I go to answer it. I open it and May is standing there, smiling like always. Her smile is the sweetest thing you will ever see. It can light up a whole room from how perfectly white her teeth are. Her smile is contagious but let me warn you. The moment you make the smile disappear, it's never coming back.
"Hey." I say leaning against the door. "What's up?" She points up and laughs. "Funny."
"There are some people that are here for you," she said. I look at her confused before shutting the door behind me as I leave the room. "Come on! We don't got all day!" She grabs me by my wrist and drags me down the stairs and stops when I'm standing in front of my two favorite people.
"Mom! Nala!" My eyes water and I can see their eyes water as well. They pull me into a group hug and I can hear them softly sob. "I've missed you." I cry. I really did miss them a lot. I barely saw them anymore. We pull apart and I hug Nala. She hugs me tight. We pull apart but our arms are still on each other's waist.
"We thought we lost you! Don't you ever scare us like that again!" Nala tells me. I laugh and kiss her forehead. "If you did leave me, who would I go to when a guy breaks my heart? Who would I call to talk about my days? Who would I bother while I'm on my period? Who would I...I..." I pull her into another hug. I kiss her temple and comb her hair with my fingers. "Who would I ask to be my maid of honor if I ever get married?"
"I'm so sorry for putting you through all that pain." I say softly with a shaky voice. "I'm here now. I'm alive and well. I have a beating heart and I'm breathing. I'm hugging you and I'm not haunting you. I could never leave you and mom behind." I remain silent before I say the next sentences. "I could never leave being Ace, May and Chris. I could never leave Gigi behind." I pull away. "Where is Gigi?"
"Oh," I look at mom as she opens a bag cage. Gigi jumps out and I smile as I squat down with open arms. She jumps in my arms and I stand back up as she rubs her face against my cheek, purring with happiness. "Ace told us to take care of Gigi because he wanted to focus on you and his work."
"Oh!" I say happily. "I've missed you too." I look at mom. I put Gigi down and she continues to rub her body against my legs, purring, telling me to give her more attention. "Come here, mom." I say with open arms.
Mom puts her bags down and removes her coat. She walks up to me and I hear Gigi meow and walk away. She pulls me in for a motherly hug. "I'm happy you are still with us. I missed you so much." She kisses my temple. "I love you soo much, mi reyna."
"What should we do?" I ask them. "Wait, let's take a picture." Mom grabs my phone and suggests just Nala and I. She insisted so we had to
