Levi made it through class and somehow managed to have a study session with Petra and Hange until quarter 'till seven. Levi packed up his bag.
"You off?" Hange asked, looking up from their book.
"Yeah." Levi slung the bag onto his shoulders.
"Good luck!" Petra said. "Give him lots of kisses!"
Levi rolled his eyes and set off fo the short walk to Erwin's. The library wasn't too far and it only took him five minutes, but it felt like an eternity to Levi. But at the same time it wasn't nearly enough time to collect his thoughts.levi took a deep breath and nocked.
"Come in!" Erwin shouted from inside. "It's open!" Levi pushed the door open and was greeted with the smell and sound of popping popcorn.
"Sorry I'm a bit early." Levi apologized.
"You're fine!" Erwin stood over the stove with a pot. "You can put your backpack wherever." Levi set it by the couch.
"What's all of this?" Levi asked, motioning to the bowls of popcorn.
"Well," Erwin laughed, turning the stove off. "I wanted to make us some good old fashioned popcorn bit I misjudged how much I needed."
"By a lot it looks like." Levi said.
"Think you can eat it all?" Erwin poured popcorn into yet another bowl.
"By myself?" Levi was shocked. There was so much!
"No, with me silly." Erwin said, handing him a large bowl. "Grab a seat." Levi did so and Erwin pulled out a few DVD's.
"Who the hell still watches DVD's?" Levi chuckled.
"Apparently I do." Erwin said, brow furrowed.
"Well what do you have?" Levi asked. They looked through the movies, none of which Levi really liked. "Here." Levi pulled out his laptop and pulled up his streaming platform.
"What do you like?" Erwin asked.
"Do you like anime?" Levi asked and Erwin frowned.
"Like Japanese porn?" He said.
"No! Here." Levi pulled up Your Name on his laptop. "Sorry it's so small. You'll have to sit close." Erwin sat beside him, their shoulders touching. Levi looked up at the man. "Ready?"
"Actually let me grab the lights!" Erwin stood and turned off the lights and pit down the shades before sitting down again.
"Cozy." Levi said and started the movie.
It wasn't that the movie was bad, Levi loved it. He just couldn't get his mind off of the dork beside him. How was Erwin feeling? Did he sense the same tension? Levi glanced at Erwin's hand, resting on his leg. Did it get closer? Levi looked at Erwin out of the corner of his eyes and met Erwin's. Blushing, Levi looked back at the screen. Come on! They had kissed already! Why was he so hesitant to hold the man's hand? Because they had been drunk. That's why. Did Erwin really like him? Levi guessed they wouldn't be in his hose, snuggled up on his couch watching a romance if he didn't...
Levi took a deep breath and slid his hand into Erwin's. He was rewarded by a gentle squeeze. He did it. Now that Levi thought about it, he and Erwin didn't hold hands much in the other life.
Then all at once Erwin shifted. He turned and his hand was suddenly on Levi's chin, tilting his face upwards. Levi let him and closed his eyes as Erwin's lips touched his. It wasn't anything like at the bar. This time it was gentle, pulling Levi deeper into Erwin's embrace. Erwin grabbed the laptop and set it on the table so it wouldn't fall. At least he had the presence of mind to move it because Levi sure didn't. He was completely eaten up in the moment. His hands were on Erwin's chest, his back. Levi couldn't stop himself from turning into him. And leaning back. And dragging Erwin down to the couch with him.
Erwin chuckled against his lips. Levi felt his tongue graze his bottom lip and without a second thought he parted them, granting the man access. The arm that wasn't keeping Erwin up found Levi's hip, rubbing circles into it with his thumb.
Levi couldn't help but think they were moving incredibly fast, but then again how many years had he missed this sensation? Levi could feel himself growing in his pants and involuntarily thrust up, brushing against Erwin, also rock hard. Levi's breath caught in his throat. Levi had missed him so much... just to be close to him was enough but... Erwin was making him want so much more.
Then Erwin was gone from him, sitting back on his heels, out if breath, his hair a mess from where Levi assumed Levi's hands had been moments prior. Levi whimpered slightly and Erwin laughed lightly.
"I'm sorry." Erwin said, running a hand through his messy hair. "I'm getting ahead of myself..." Levi sat up.
"It's okay." Levi said. "I didn't mind."
"Oh, I can tell." Erwin said, his eyes sliding down to the bulge in Levi's pants. Levi blushed. "Sorry, I'm not ready for that quite yet. I need a smoke." Erwin stood and motioned Levi to follow him. Levi did so. Erwin led him through a hallway where Levi assumed the bathroom and the bedroom were and through the back door. Levi stopped when Erwin flipped on the light.
Erwin's back yard was beautifully manicured with flowers all around. A well-maintained fish pond was in one corner. Two butterfly chairs stood before it and a table and four chairs were on the other side. The shadows may have been eerie to some, but Levi found that they served to accent the happy little space.
"Wow." Levi said, walking up to the fish pond. Goldfish, coy, and another type of fish Levi didn't know flocked to his shadow, biting at the surface. "What are these fish?" Levi asked.
"Goldfish, coy, and shubunkin." Erwin said as he lit a cigarette. Levi looked up at him.
"This is beautiful." He said.
Erwin smiled. "Thank you. Would you like to sit down?" Erwin motioned to the table. Levi eased himself into the seat and watched Erwin light his cigarette.
"I know you het this a lot probably, but" Levi said. "You really should quit."
"I know." Erwin sighed and studied the white paper-rolled tobacco and god-knows-what-else. "I'll tell you what. I'll start on quitting."
"Really?" Levi questioned. "Just like that?"
"Just like that." Erwin confirmed. "I don't smoke too much now anyway but you're right. Besides, now I have someone to live for."
