Coincidence | Chishiya x Reader

Hatter

I woke up with someone pounding on my door, so I disorientedly made my way over to answer it.

When I finally open it I see Arisu and Usagi standing there,

"What?" I ask them, not sure why they are knocking so hurriedly.

"Chishiya says we have to see something, he told me to come get you," Arisu explains to me.

I waste no time, quickly putting on my shoes and walking out the door, "Did he say what it's about?"

"No," Arisu tells me.

As we make our way down to the room we were all once introduced in, I see two men standing there, guarding it.

We all keep walking forward but they block us from going further, "Hey, wait up."

Niragi comes from around the corner, a gun resting on his shoulder like usual.

"Where did you guys come from?" Niragi asks harshly, "We didn't ask for you guys to come here!"

I could see from his face that he wanted us to start something, almost as if he was having fun terrorizing us.

"I called them over," a voice interrupts him.

I see Chishiya walking up from the hallway.

As soon as we make contact, he gives me a sweet smile.

I give him one back, feeling butterflies in my stomach, and for the first time I know why, I liked him.

Niragi looks at him annoyed, taking a few steps toward him, "Hey, don't go gathering people on your own."

Chishiya smirks at him, and I can't help but find how attractive he is when he does that. I feel my face burn up a little, but not enough for people to notice, thankfully.

"There's something important they have to hear," Chishiya tells him.

When Niragi has nothing to argue against, Chishiya looks towards me and Arisu, "Let's go in."

Arisu looks at Usagi, who sadly couldn't go in with us, "See you later."

I turn to her as well giving her a small smile and wave.

She nods at us, and Arisu and I walk towards Chishiya.

All three of us walk towards the door, Arisu in the middle of me and Chishiya.

I hear Arisu whisper to him, "What happened?"

I look over to him to get the answer as well, but Chishiya just shrugs, "Who knows? It must be something serious."

His face is hard to read as he only shows a sly smile.

He opens up the two doors leading us into the room.

As soon as we walk in I can just feel the severity of the situation, and I can feel my heart rate rise from the anxiety I was feeling. Whatever happened isn't good at all.

I finally realize the meaning of all this when I look up, seeing a body lying on the table in the middle of the room.

It was Hatter.

I couldn't even believe what I was seeing, the man who was so confident he would live and be the first one out of this hell hole... was dead.

I stand next to Chishiya, a confused look on my face as I wonder what the hell happened to him mixed with a scared look of what this means for all of us. Hatter was the only one who Aguni listened to, and as much as I didn't like Hatter, I hate Aguni more.
