"Dad?" you say as walk to the living room. He's on the computer, doing some work while your mother is in the kitchen cooking up some food. Your sister is in her room playing the electric piano while your brother is in his room playing his video games.

"Yeah?" he says.

"Remember the times you told me how great high school was for you?" you ask him as you take a seat.

"Yeah? What about it?" he says wondering why you're asking this.

"How many girlfriends did you have, out of curiosity," you say which made your father stop doing what he was doing and turn around on his chair to look at you.

"I always thought I would have this kind of conversation with my son but I guess I can talk about this to my eldest daughter," your father says which made you giggle, "I had many woman falling for me and coming after me--"

"Ha!" your mother says loudly from the kitchen, "Your father only had two girlfriends in his life," your mother says.

"Including you?" you ask with a smile.

"I was his third and last," she tells you proudly.

"But many woman were in love with me. Even now, I have woman flirting with me at work all the time--"

"Yet you come home everyday to kiss my ass because you know that if you ever cheat on me, you would lose your dick and die a very horrible death also live a very torture death," your mother says which made you laugh loudly.

"I love you!" your father reminds her.

"You better goddamn be in love with me or I'll hit with the frying pit because there would be something wrong with you if you didn't love me!" your mother says which made your father chuckle.

"And this is why I love your mother," he tells you which made you smile, "But, I had girlfriend in elementary but didn't end well because she liked every guy in the class and technically it wasn't a real relationship but my next one was in high school with a woman named Maria Kirei," your father tells you which surprised you as that's Anna's mother's name.

You were going to say something until you heard your mother groan, "You okay, Ma?" you ask her.

"Yeah but I do not want to hear that woman's name," your mother says and even though you couldn't see her, you knew she rolled her eyes.

"Why?" you ask and that's when you heard your mother shut everything off and make her way to the living room.

"Because the woman is a sneaky little--"

"They didn't get along," your father quickly interrupt.

"They knew each other? But mom lives in the States while Maria lives here in Japan. You lived here in Japan," you remind him.

"You know your mother's profession, right?" your father ask.

"Yeah, professional pianist. Best in the world, holds the number one title and continues to hold it. She now teaches kids of all age, performs and even judges," you say, "Now that I've said it at loud, you are pretty famous, ma," you say as you look at your mother, "My mother is famous..." you say once again as you haven't accepted that fact yet.

"I knew about this yet I haven't really... you know... Thought much of it," you say as you look at your mother.

"And your father is also pretty famous too," your father reminds you as he wants some attention.

You couldn't help but laugh. You then look at your mother who takes a seat next to you, "Why didn't you and Maria get along? And how did you both meet?" you ask your mother as you were curious.
