After I got home Darren tried to apologize but I just ignored him and went straight to my room. Later that night he just barged into my room and demanded to know who Declan was and why he was at our house.
First of all, that's rude. Second of all, just no. Yes I am completely aware that it is a little bit petty but at the same time I don't give a crap.

It's Monday again and I don't feel like going to school. At all. I have to for two reasons; I promised a certain someone I wouldn't miss any more days of school and Darren is back home so he will definitely be able to answer calls from the school.

"Hey Har, what's going on?" I asked as I sat down next to Harlow at our lunch table. "Oh hey Mani. Um Georgie sat with me and Declan sat with him. Can they please stay?" I looked at Georgie then at Declan then back at Harlow. I nodded and quietly sipped on my cherry soda. "YAY! Thanks Mani!" she said. Georgie resumed whatever conversation they had going before I got here.
Involuntarily my eyes left my drink and went to Declan. He looked very focused on something. His features were relaxed but serious at the same time. His eyes were beautiful in this light. They were blue and green at the same time. While looking at him I hadn't realized I had stood up from my seat. "Princess are you okay?" Georgie asked. That's definitely gross.
Not really knowing how to respond to the nickname and to my actions I just leave. Not just the cafeteria but I leave school.
I got a few calls from Harlow but I chose to ignore them. At this point I don't care if Darren will yell at me for skipping school and start walking to Junebug.
After a while I finally walked into the place that holds my favorite memories. It's two blocks from home and two blocks from school. Which honestly is really convenient.
I make my way over to the back of the building which is reserved for yours truly and her friends. I sit down and after a few minutes the owner June brings me my favorite coffee. A hot caramel macchiato.
"Hey babe! Shouldn't you be at school or something" June asked. "Hey June. Not today Darren let me take the day off" I smiled. I feel bad lying to June but if I told her I left she would be disappointed in me. "Oh how is that brother of yours". "He's good. I think. He's just always at work." I took a sip of my coffee. "He just wants you to live a good and full life Madi". "June" someone yells from the kitchen. "Well I've got to get back to work" she got up and walked back to the kitchen. "I know he does," I say a little too late. I take my time drinking the rest of my coffee.

I check the time. 2:46 P.M. it reads. I get up and head home. I take my time walking home. About five minutes before getting home I check the time again. 3:45 P.M. it reads this time. Damn. I walk slower.
Author's note:
I hate Wattpad sometimes. Like why did you put an ad right in the middle of what I'm reading. That's just rude. Even though Mani is my character sometime she gets on my nerves. Thanks for taking time out of your day to read my story!<3
