Charli's Pov:

There on the rooftop deck, Chase stood up and then extended his arm to pull me up out of my chair.

Once we were both standing he wrapped his arms around me and held me tight.

I inhaled deeply, taking in his sweet scent, and closed my eyes.

For a while we just stayed like this. Me in the arms of the boy that I loved.

Until finally, the embrace ended and we were both sucked back in to the overwhelming whirlwind that was our lives.

I felt my phone buzz in my pocket, but I didn't think anything of it.

Chase and i still standing across from each other, I rest my forearms on each of his shoulders and gazed into his gorgeous blue eyes.

I noticed him looking down at my lips, and then back up at my eyes.

I brought my face towards his slowly, not breaking eye contact.

The moment I closed my eyes, when my lips were about a half an inch from his, my phone buzzed again.

And again.

And again.

I sighed and stepped back, reaching into my pocket and pulling out my phone. While it had been on silent, I'd missed three calls from my mom and two from my dad.

My mother was texting me now:

Mom: Why aren't you answering my calls!?!?

Mom: Get home now!

Mom: I'm coming to Dixie's if you don't text me that you're on the way home in the next 2 minutes.

"Uh oh, I don't have a good feeling about this." I gritted my teeth, showing Chase the messages.

"That doesn't look too good, I can give you a ride home." He offered.

As we took the elevator back down to Dixie's floor I texted my mom that I was on the way home.

She texted back that Dixie needed to come as well.

It must be serious if Dixie's has to get a talk too...

We informed Dixie of the urgent situation. She had fallen back asleep after taking Tylenol for her hangover headache and missed several calls from our parents as well.

With haste we travelled downstairs and hopped into Chases car, zooming off towards my house.

I felt more anxious by the minute as I walked through the front door at home, Chase and Dixie behind me.

My dog ran up to greet us excitedly, but behind her was a very angry looking Heidi D'amelio.

I stood up to face my mom after saying hello to rebel.

"Come with me." She ordered the three of us.

She led us into the kitchen where my dad was sitting on one of the stools at the island. She picked up her phone and unlocked it, then turned it around to show us a screen recording of an Instagram post.

It was Chase and I, in the middle of a crowded room, making out. It was last night.

"Care to explain?"

My dad looked up from his newspaper, interested in the explanation we would give.

I looked back down at the phone. The caption read "Chacha last night at the Sway house..." I stopped reading there. There was no point in lying, mom already knew too much.
