I Love You

Charli's Pov:

I woke up late the next morning, around 11am.
Addi was at my door asking if I wanted to go to brunch with her and Dixie.

"Sure!" I called to the other side of the door. "Let me get ready really quick!"

I went to the bathroom to wash my face, brush my teeth and quickly do my hair. I then threw on a pair of blue jeans and a black cropped tee, and I was ready to go.

On the way out I saw Chase and Ryland talking in the kitchen.

I gave Ryland a fist bump and Chase got a kiss on the cheek, and then I went outside where Addi and Dixie were waiting for me in Addison's jeep.

"Ready?" Addi asked as a jumped into the car and shut the door behind me.

"Yup!" I confirmed.

We drove to this little bakery/ breakfast place that Dixie and I really liked in downtown LA.

As I was eating my croissant, I saw that I was getting a FaceTime from my mom.

I answered the call and motioned for Dixie to come around to my side of the table so she could say hi.

"Hiii mom" we chimed in unicen.

"Hi babies! how are you!?" Our mom smiled at us through the phone.

"I'm good!" I replied.

"Yea I'm good" Dixie said.

My mom called my dad over as well and a few seconds later he appeared in the frame.

"Hi dad!" Dixie and I said.

We turned the phone to Addi so that she could say hi as well.

"We have some news!" My mom told us.

"Ooo what is it?" Dixie questioned.

"We're going to get a house in California so that we can come down there and be with you girls" Our dad said.

"Oh my gosh that's great news!" I exclaimed. I missed my parents so much.

"Yea!" Mom said. "We'll let you know when we choose a house and all that but we just wanted to let you guys know!"

"Yay! We miss you guys so much" Dixie told them.

"Can't wait to see you!" Said mom.

"Love you girls, stay safe!" My dad added.

"Love you too" Dixie and I both told them before they hung up the phone.

Dixie went back and sat down across from me.

"Well that's cool" Dixie said, talking about our parents' news.

"Yea I can't wait for them to move here, the only thing I'm worried about is having to hide my relationship from them." I admitted.

"I mean you don't have to hide it..." Dixie pointed out.

"She's right, your parents like Chase." Addison agreed.

"I guess you're right." I thought about it for a second. "Maybe when they get here we can invite Noah and Chase over for dinner with mom and dad!"

"I'll think about it..." said Dixie.

"I think that's a great idea Char!" Exclaimed Addison, turning and looking at Dixie.

"See Noah and I aren't official yet." Dixie said.

"But you really like him, right?" Addi inquired.

"I mean, yea." Dixie admitted. "Yea I do. He's really sweet, and funny and-"

"And 10 times better than griffin." I added, rolling my eyes.

"Yeah." Dixie agreed."I just don't know if I'm ready for another relationship so soon."

"I think it's good to take things slow!" Addi said. "It'll make your relationship stronger it the long run."

"Well like... I guess I should say we're taking the emotional intimacy slow. But like the sexual chemistry is there 10,000 percent." Said Dixie

"Wow already?" Addi questioned.

"Addi you can't talk, you're still fucking Bryce" Dixie teased.

We all laughed for a minute, and then we finished our food and payed the bill so we could get back to the house.

"I need to talk to Chase when we get home." I thought out loud.

"You haven't talked to him since last night?" Dixie asked me.

"No- I mean I said good morning but other than that, no."

"What happened last night?" Asked Addi.

I explained the situation to her.

"Yea definitely tell him how you feel," she advised. "It's okay to be a little nervous about your first time, if you're with the right guy, eventually you'll feel comfortable enough!"

"Thanks Addi," I smiled. "I'm lucky to have such great big sisters."

Dixie was on her phone and not paying attention, but Addi looked at me and smiled.

"Love you Char."

When we got back to the house, we all got out of the car and Dixie and Addi went up to Dixie's room.

Meanwhile I went to find Chase.

I found him laying by himself outside by the pool.

He looked up as I approached him, he held out his arms, which I walked into and was greeted with a hug.

"Hi baby" I said, sitting on his lap.

"Hey how was brunch?" He questioned.

"It was good- oh by the way, my parents just told me and Dixie that we're getting a house up here in LA!"

"That's great news!" Chase said excitedly. "When are they coming down?"

"I think in about a month"

He nodded, and then we sat in silence for a minute, staring out at the view.

"About last night..." I began. He looked up at me, listening intently. "I panicked. I don't know why, but in that moment I just didn't feel ready."

"And that's completely okay." Chase said. "We don't have to do anything until you're ready."

"Thank you for being so understanding."

"It's the least I can do. I am extremely lucky to have you." He gave me a kiss.

"Hey- do you wanna go see a movie tonight?" Chase asked me.

"Like in a theater?" I hadn't been to a movie theater for a long time. Ever since Corona became a thing.

"Yea the one in the mall is open!" He said.

"Yes I'd love to!"

"Okay I'll look up the movie times!"

We decided on a 6:30 movie- a scary one in honor of spooky season.
