Dally was told by the nurses to stay in bed for another 2 days. He wasn't so happy about this tho. Today I was going back to school with pony and Johnny. Me and Johnny said bye to Dally and went to go get pony.

We all arrived at school, Olivia and Amanda came up to us.

Olivia- ok bitch prove to us that you and Ponyboy are dating!
Amanda- ya! People have been saying your not dating.

Me and Pony both had the same idea. Pony moved my hair behind my ear and we both leaned in and kissed each other. Me and Pony almost started making out but the girls stopped us.

Olivia- ok ok we get it your dating!
Amanda- whatever, Sodapop is better than you anyways ponyboy.

The thing is me and Pony aren't dating yet. We just are friends with Benefits I guess. After the girls stormed off Johnny and Steve looked at the 2 of us in shock.

Steve- when did this happen?
You- were not dating.
Johnny- that was kinda hot.
Steve- by the looks of it, it seems you guys are dating.
Ponyboy- we aren't. Just best friends.

Pony said with a smirk and we held hands into the school. Everyone stared at me and pony. We held hands whenever we switched classes or went to lunch. We met up with Johnny and Steve at the cafeteria. As I was getting some lunch a soc came beside me.

Soc- hey what's a pretty girl like you doing all alone?
Ponyboy- she's not alone buddy. Keep moving.
Soc- is this your boyfriend?
You- yup. So I suggest you move along.
Soc- or what?
You- him and his gang with beat the shit out of you.

The soc quickly walked away. Pony put his arm around my waist and we sat down with Johnny and Steve.

You- I have a very protective "boyfriend."
Ponyboy- well I don't want them hitting on my "girlfriend"😏.
Johnny- for goodness sake, just date already!
You- haha, not yet Johnny cakes.

After a long day at school we all waited outside expecting two bit to pick us up. But instead it was Dally in his stolen convertible. Everyone stared and whispered seeing THE Dallas Winston picking up the gang.

Dally- hey guys get in!
You- dally your supposed to be in bed.
Dally- I got really bored at home so I decided to come get y'all
Johnny- what about Twobit?
Dally- he's at the Curtis house.

We got Dally to sit in the back and Steve drove us to the Curtis house. Once we got there we brought Dally to the couch so he could lie down. We all had a pretty fun time and it was time to go home. Johnny said he was gonna stay a while with pony. Then walk back maybe. Dally told me he wanted to go to bucks for the night so soda stayed with me at me and Dally's place.

In the morning:

Me and Soda went to the curtis house. Darry Steve and twobit were there pacing and yelling.

You- what's going on?
Darry- the boys almost got jumped last night. Johnny killed a soc because he was trying to drown pony, 2 of them ran away and dally won't tell us where they went.
You- oh my god!

My heart dropped. Pony and Johnny left. I know they probably didn't mean to kill that soc. It was self defence. I knew I had to figure out where they were so I went to dally. He was still at bucks. I walked in and went to his room there.

Dally- who is it?
You- y/n.
Dally- oh no...come in!
You- where did pony and Johnny go?
Dally- Texas.
You- liar!
Dally- they went to Texas.
You- you just lied to my fucking face twice Winston, twice!
Dally- ok ok, they went to the church up by windrexville.
You- let's go get them then.
Dally- we can't. The fuzz will find em and Johnny could get the electric chair and pony and soda could go to a boys home. I'm going to get them in a few days. You have to stay here.
You- ok.

I waited and waited for 5 days. 5 long gloomy days. 5 days without my friend Johnny, and 5 days without my best friend who I loved. 5 painful days. Until it was the day.

Dally- hey Doll I'm leaving now. If the boys ask, say I went for a little drive.
You- ok, be safe.
Dally- I'll try.

I walked myself over to the Curtis house. I sat with soda on the couch.

Sodapop- y/n?
You- soda?
Sodapop- do you like pony as more than just a friend? Like do you love him?
You- well, yeah. I guess I do.
Sodapop- ok good, because I know he loves you back.

After a long day we got a call from the hospital. The 3 boys had been injured from a church fire trying to save little kids. We all got into Darrys car and rushed to the hospital. We had to stay in the waiting room for a bit. Then the nurse said we had to go to the second floor. Me, Darry and soda went. We saw a blonde boy sitting on a chair with a bunch of ashes still on him. I thought to myself. Is that Pony? He's blonde?! He stood up and faced us. And sure enough it was pony. He ran to Soda and hugged him. Then he hugged Darry. Him and Darry weren't on hood terms last time they saw each other because Darry got mad at him for coming home so late. Pony fell asleep in the lot with Johnny. So when pony said he fell asleep in the lot, Darry hit him. So he ran back to the lot. But now they are good.

Sodapop- oh look at your tuff hair pony.

Pony then let go of his brothers and came over to me. I saw a tear roll down his cheek.

Ponyboy- I'm sorry.
You- for what?
Ponyboy- leaving you. I just had to.
You- I know pony, I know.

I wiped his tear away and he kissed me. As our lips collided Darry's eyes shot open real wide. Soda was just smiling.

Sodapop- we taught him well Darrel.
Darry- yeah but when did this happen?
Sodapop- when did what happen?
Darry- pony and y/n. Are they dating?
Sodapop- no.
Darry- but-
Sodapop- don't ruin the moment Darry.

As me and pony separated I looked up at him.

You- I like your hair blonde.
Ponyboy- really? I find I look silly.
You- it's cute.

We all went to go see Dally next. He was yelling at some nurse.

Dally- get out! You make my stomach sick! Hahaha!
You- hey Dal!
Dally- awe hey Doll!
You- how ya feeling?
Dally- great. So...when did you and pony start dating?
You- were not.

He gave me one of those looks and looked down at our hands that were attached. He didn't deprecate our hands like last time. We kept them how they were. Dally smiled. Then he started talking to soda and Darry.
