Cassie's POV

My mom and siblings were out. Mom is still at work. Allie is at the burrow visiting her boyfriend George Weasley. And Louis is out with friends. That leaves me alone with dad.

My dad and I can't really get through one door without fighting. It wasn't always like this, but he did always prefer my siblings. I have always been a mama's girl. Don't get me wrong I love my dad but sometimes I just want to slap him in the face.

"Cassie!" dad screams up the stairs. "yeah?" I shout back. "Lunch is ready"

I arrive in the kitchen, dad looks at me with disgust.

After breakfast we got in a fight about my future and what he wants me to do. I want to be an artist but my dad wants me to work at the ministry. He thinks it's stupid to be an artist because you don't have a secure income. He doesn't care that a job at the ministry won't make me happy. He never really cared about my happiness.

"Spit it out dad, I see you want to, so go on." I say irritated. I can't even eat without being judged.

"There is nothing and don't give me that attitude." He says sternly.

We eat in silence. Both not wanting to speak.

It's summer before year 5 of Hogwarts. I am 15-year-old girl. Cassandra Rose Griffin. But everyone calls me Cassie. I was sorted in Hufflepuff. I have a twin sister. Allison Daisy Griffin. But everyone calls her Allie. She was sorted in Ravenclaw, obviously she is also going to year 5. Also I have a older brother. Louis Gladiolus Griffin. He is 17 years old and sorted in Gryffindor. He is going to his last year at Hogwarts.

As you may notice all of our middle names are flowers. That is because my mom loves flowers and it sounds pretty.

Our family is a pure-blood family from America. Mom and dad moved to England before we were born. Dad found a job as an well paid Auror. Mom is a well paid doctor at st. mungo hospital. So my parents have quite a lot of money.

"What time is mom coming home?" I ask breaking the silence.

"Late at night, why?" he says without looking away from his food.

"No reason" I look out the window into the garden.

The garden is my favorite part of the house. It's very open and we have a pond that we can swim in. Also the flower section is so beautiful, mom takes good care of that. There is a pavilion further in the garden. It's made out of glass and I spent most of my time there.

"I'm going for a swim." I announce looking back at my dad.

He didn't say anything but just nodded as permission for me to leave the table.

I went upstairs to change in my bikini. I ran down the stairs towards the garden and jumped of the dock into the water.

I have always liked the water. I love to just sit underwater and listen to the silence that forms around you. I look up to the sky and it's all a bit blurry. No one can hurt me here. I am alone and safe. No dad to scream at you.

Go up, you need air.

Just a little longer, please.

I couldn't bear it anymore, I pushed myself of the ground and break to surface. I gasp for air. I wish I could stay there for ever. Sadly I am only a human and I am not able to breathe underwater.

I swim around for a while. The birds are chirping cheerfully. The sun shines bright and the sky is cloudless. A perfect day.

Still there is this feeling as if the world is going to go down any second. I woke up today with it. A feeling that something is going to go wrong.
