Cassie's POV
I missed Hogwarts a lot over the summer. To be back here is calming. It's safe here no one who tries to harm me. I have no idea how the first full moon will be. To be honest I am terrified. I read in books that the transformation is painful. I hope staying here is worth it.
"Have you heard it? Sirius Black escaped from Azkaban." Hazel says, she is reading the Daily Prophet at breakfast.
"Yes, he is the first person to escape Azkaban." Liv stated.
"Wait Sirius Black, the one who betrayed his friends and killed also one of them?" I ask, this is the first time i heard about the news. I have heard the things Black did from my mom. She told me to watch who I trust and who I give important information.
"Yes that one, you want to say you know another Sirius Black?" Daniel asks
"No" I shrug.
"Goodmorning, my dear sister," Allie says while sitting down next to me. "can I see your timetable?" I give her my timetable.
"Cas," Olivia says quietly next to me while the others are in a loud conversation. "You haven't eaten anything yet, are you alright."
I give her a small smile and nod to reassure her 'I'm fine'. I'm everything but fine, the moon is getting fuller every night and I am so terrified that I can't eat without vomiting it out again.
"Miss. Griffin, Cassie, professor Dumbledore wants to speak with you." Professor McGonagall says. I look up worried. It's never good when you have to speak to Dumbledore. Minnie gives me a reassuring look that I don't have to worry. I get up and walk with her to Dumbledore's office in total silence.
"Ah, miss. Griffin. Thank you McGonagall." Dumbledore says as I walk in his magnificent office. Professor Lupin is here too. He has an anxious look on his face.
"I prefer if you call me Cassie, makes it feel less formal." I say with a small smile. I hear Lupin snort. He puts a hand to his face to hid his laugh.
"As you wish, Cassie" Dumbledore adjusted "I asked you to come here to discuss, what has happened over the summer. You mother told me already what you had told her. I now want to look what we are going to do for the future."
I nod and my head started to fill up with questions. "Oké, What about my future any good things on being a werewolf? and why is professor Lupin here?" I raise one eyebrow in Lupins direction.
"Remus, here is a werewolf himself." Dumbledore says calmly. Not minding my questions.
"I want to help." Lupin says cutting his silence.
"And how do you want to that?" I say bluntly. I was so over the 'I want to help you' sentence. As if he can change anything that has happened.
"Cassie, I get that your mad or upset about what has happened but we can't change the past, so I want you to look to the future. What you can do to change it for the better good." Lupin says irritated by my rudeness.
"I can't look at the future because it won't be any good. I live in the present I always have. See, I am upset more than I would like to admit but your right I can't change it but does that mean I can't feel the things I feel. I honestly don't know who or what I am anymore or what I feel." I say fast taking a deep breathe after I was done. I didn't dare to look in either of the men their eyes. They probably look at me with pity. They always do when you say something like this.
"Cassie, I get it. I get how you feel. Like Dumbledore said I am just like you. I don't say you can't feel your feelings. Please do feel them talk about them. What I do mean is, that I know how to help you and whenever you need to talk with someone about the furry problem or anything at all. My doors will always be open for you." Lupin said while crouching down next to me.
"Thank you" I say just above a whisper. I look up to Dumbledore "So, what is the plan?"
