Cassie's POV
I woke up not in the tall grass but on a soft bed.
"Look she's alive!" I heard someone exclaim joyful next to me.
I don't know who it was but it was being to loud.
"If you just could be quiet, thank you." crooked out of my throat. It felt as if I hadn't drank in years.
"Yikes, moody she is." said another voice.
I started to roll over but stopped mid movement. My body hurts so badly. As if someone cut me into pieces and put me back together. I groan and lay back down on my back. I rub my eyes to see clearly.
The voices I heard belonged to my best friends. Fred and George Weasley. They are also twins. They were sorted in Gryffindor but that didn't matter for our friendship. They are just like me troublemakers. And George is my sister's boyfriend. Much to my dislike.
"Oh fuck, I am in my hell loop" I say jokingly, smiling up to them.
"Haha, you're so funny." Fred says sarcastically.
"Fred, George leave the poor girl alone." Molly came walking in the room with a cup of tea.
"It's alright Mrs. Weasley, they are less annoying than normally." I say with an innocent smile.
"Don't be silly Cassie, you can me Molly. You know that right?" Molly says putting the cup next to me on the nightstand.
"Are you saying we are annoying?" George asks. I grin to him and nod, but fast stop moving and groan in pain again.
"Why don't you two go downstairs and make tea for everyone." Molly says. The boys listen and leave the room.
"How are you feeling, Cassie?" Molly says looking back at me. I see the pity in her eyes. I don't like when people do that.
"I am doing splendid. Honestly I thought I wouldn't wake up here." I say smiling at her.
"Do you want to tell me what happened and what you were doing outside in the middle of the night?" Molly says in a motherly tone.
I thought back of what happened. My body stiffened.
"I am erm..." I look up to the ceiling to scared to make eye contact with her. My eyes begin to sting. Don't cry, that is what weak people do. I take a deep breath.
"My dad kicked me out. That's why I was outside in the middle of the night. I didn't really know where I was going and just followed my intuition. I was in the wood and saw light coming from here. I didn't know it was the Burrow. When I was in the field this wolf attacked me. Then there was this dog who saved me from dying. I know I can't use magic outside school but I didn't know what else to do. So I sent up the two flairs in hope someone would see it. After that everything went black" I rambled out fast.
Molly didn't say anything, I turn my head to see her with tears in her eyes.
"Molly, it's alright. I am still here..." I try to reassure her that everything is alright.
"Cassie..." Molly started "It was full moon that night. You weren't attacked by just a wolf but by a werewolf and..."
"And?" I ask not getting where she's going with this.
"You have been bitten on your upper thigh." she says in almost a whisper.
"What.." I breath out.
"That means I am..." I say realizing why she looked at me with pity.
Not only am I kicked out of my house. I am also turned in a monster. I don't how to breath anymore. everything started blur.
"Cassie?" Molly asks concerned "Cassie, can you hear me?"
I nod slowly. I lost control over my breathing. I was getting really hot. My body is burning. I pull the duvet of my body. Tears fall down my cheeks. I hadn't see my scars yet.
"Oh gods" I see between breaths.
"Cassie, you have to calm down." Molly says putting hand on my shoulder. My body jolted away from her.
I sat against the wall that was next to the bed. I looked everywhere but at her. I am scared. Scared of myself.
"Cassie, listen to me alright" Molly says softly. "You having a panic attack. You need to get your breathing under control alright. Can you do that?"
I shake my head. My breathing is still unstable and I don't know what's happening.
"Okay. Follow me. Breath-in." I do as she says "Hold. And out"
We did that few times until my breathing was normal again.
"Do the others know about the bite?" I ask while sipping my tea.
"No not yet, but they'll know eventually." Molly replies.
"I don't want them to know this." I say quietly biting my lip.
"I know it'll be hard but you self always say 'the truth will come out no matter how hard you try to hide it'." she says in a matter of fact.
Why do I always say such things. It's true tho.
"But for now, let's keep this between us. We'll fix it after you have rested." Molly says while leaving.
"Thank you for taking care of me" I say before she left.
"It's the least thing I can do Cassie." She gives me one last smile and disappears downstairs.
I laid back down in bed. I couldn't sleep. I lay staring at the ceiling pondering through my thought. One came back every time.
I am a monster.
