Cassie's POV

Today is 1 September and I am leaving the Burrow with the Weasleys. It's very early in the morning. At 11.00 o'clock our train to Hogwarts will leave. Allie would bring my trunk with my clothing.

These past few days I had slept a lot. I am almost totally healed, apart from my new condition and some scars. Molly took good care of me. She checked up, if I was doing well.

At the beginning I never had thought my summer would end like this. I am not mad about it. Or I am not mad at dad about it because it isn't his fault that I am being such a pain in the arse.

Today is also the day I will see my sister again. Apparently mom, Louis and Allie visited while I was out a couple days back. Nobody knows yet about my condition, only Molly then. I don't know how to tell them. I am scared that they'll see me differently than before.

We arrived at platform 9 and 3/4. The Hogwarts express stood ready to go. It felt nice to be here again. Everything is going change. Better make it the best out year 5.

"Alright everyone gather around." Molly called out for her kids and Harry, Hermione and me. We had picked up Harry and Hermione yesterday before we went to King-cross station.

"I wish you all a good year and don't cause to much trouble." Molly says while giving us all a hug. When she gives me hug she whispers in my ear "We have notified Dumbledore about your condition. He'll help you, okay?" She pulls back and I give her a nod with a smile.

"Alright get on the train before it's to late." Molly ushers us inside the train.

Fred, George and I went on a hunt for an empty compartment. We found one and I sat next to the window like always, George sat next to me and Fred across from me. They both give me a weak smile.

"What?" I ask them.

"Nothing." they say in unison.

"Stop looking at me like that." I say as they keep looking at me like I am a broken doll.

"Like what?" Fred asks.

"You both know I hate it when people do this. Looking at me like you two are looking at me." I say avoiding their eyes.

"We know." George says and stops looking at me when the compartment door opens. I look too.

"Hello lovely friends of mine." Olivia says. She pulls me up from my seat and in a hug. "I am glad you're alright." we brake our embrace and I give a small smile. I sit back down staring out the window. Olivia sat down next to Fred.

The whistle sounds outside signing that the train is going to start moving. I didn't really want to talk to people but sometimes you have to, so people won't look at you in pity or ask you if you're alright.

"How was your summer, Liv?" I ask looking at her. She smiles brightly back at me. Glistering in her eyes of excitement.

Olivia Cambric has been my best friend since the very start of my life at Hogwarts. She is also sorted into Hufflepuff and I share my dorm with her and Hazel.

"It was amazing. I went to France with my family. We even visited Paris. It was beautiful. What about you?" She says but immediately regretting asking me that. "Sorry..."

"It's fine honestly. I had the most boring summer break ever. Well, before all the things happened with my dad." I look down at my hand that were fidgeting with the hem of my shirt.

The compartment door opened again. Standing there were my sister and Hazel.

"God finally we have found you." They go around and give everyone a hug.

George scooched over so Allie could sit next to me. She is doing the same thing Fred and George were doing earlier. Looking at me with pity. Why keep people doing that.

"How was it at home? Did you miss me?" I say grinning at her and bumping in her shoulder.

"Home, it's a mess. Yes I obviously missed you. How can you even ask that." She says grinning back.

"Why is it a mess? Is it because of me?" I ask my smile dropping.

"No, it's not because of you. Don't worry. It's just mom and dad fighting about almost everything." She says with a reassuring smile. I look out the window when Allie gets in conversation with our friends.

Everything moves past us fast. We went through beautiful landscapes. It always amazes me how beautiful the world is. I got lost in my thoughts again. It stopped sudden when the train stopped with a jolt.

I looked to my friends in confusion. Only seeing they had the same expression. I stood up and opened the compartment door. Seeing more people had done that. It got really cold. It felt like it was freezing. How that possible it's mid summer. I sat back down.

"There was nothing out." I say while trying to keep myself warm.

"Did you guys saw that?" Hazel says terrified.

"No-" I started and then saw what she meant.

There was a shadow in front our door. The door opened. There was a long floating creature in front of us. It made it's way towards in our compartment. It felt as if all the happiness got sucked out of me. My eyes closed and I saw flashes of the night of the attack. I wanted to scream. I wanted him to stop but I couldn't do anything.

As fast as the creature came as fast as it left. The train started moving again and the temperature got back to normal. The feeling didn't go though. I still felt cold and wanted to cry so hard.

"Are you alright?" Allie asks me. She puts softly a hand on my shoulder.

"Yeah..." I say giving her a weak smile.

"What was that?" George asks.

"That was a Dementor." Olivia says.

"A Dementor?" Hazel asks.

"Dementors are among the foulest creatures that walk this earth. They infest the darkest, filthiest places, they glory in decay and despair, they drain peace, hope, and happiness out of the air around them... Get too near a Dementor and every good feeling, every happy memory will be sucked out of you. If it can, the Dementor will feed on you long enough to reduce you to something like itself... soulless and evil. You will be left with nothing but the worst experiences of your life." Allie answers Hazel.

"Which book did you shallow, sis?" I laugh out.

"It's the basic DADA. If you would pay attention you would know it." She snaps back.

"I know what it is, just the way you say it. Let's keep it simple. It's a soul-eater." I say.

"Always the need for last word, don't you?" Allie looks at me rolling her eyes.

"Who's having the last word now." Olivia chimes in.

"Shut up, Liv." Allie and I say in unison.
