Making Dilshad Happy

This is the scene during the first Iftaar after Tanveer is exposed and kicked out (I loved that scene so much) and Dilshad starts crying when she remembers all the bad things that happened. At the dinner table:

Dilshad: (softly crying, speaking to Zoya) Maine aapki aapi se wada kiya tah ke tum yaha safe aur kush hoge lekin...

Zoya feels bad for her and tries to brighten the mood

Zoya: (smiles cheekily) Well chalo issi baat par ek sher arz hai!

Asad looks away thinking 'Not now!' Najma looks confused at Zoya's behaviour

Zoya:

Gham Chale gaye ab aasoon ko be bol dena bye,

Gham Chale gaye ab aasoon ko be bol dena bye

Phoopi itna mat rooiye warna log kahenge, phoopi hai ya Niruba Rai!

Zoya: Shukria, Shukria, Shukria!

Dilshad chuckles and wipes away her tears with a smile playing on her lips. Asad gazes at her, happy she made his mother joyful again, feeling proud of his Fiancee. Najma laughs at her joke and continues eating.

Dilshad: Sahi kaha tumne, pehle hum boore wakt me rote hai, phir boore wakt ko yad kar ke rote hai.

Zoya nods in understanding. Asad controls his anger remebering his so-called best friend and all the bad deeds she did.

Dilshad: Lekin ab ache wakt aagaye hai, khushiya aagaye hai, hena?

Zoya and Asad catch what she means and make light noises of agreement.

Dilshad: (no longer upset) Me soch rahi tee ke Eid ke foren baad, me tum dono ke Nikaah kar waunga, aap dono ko to koi etraaz to nahi, hena?

Asad and Zoya look down at their plates suddenly feeling hot.

Dilshad: (looks at both at them and comes to conclusion) Aap dono ki kamoshi toh yahi kehti hai ki aap dono ko koi etraaz nahi hai.

Asad and Zoya make eye-contact and their Mitwa moment begins. Without breaking eye-contact he says: Meri liye tareek (date) koi maayne nahi rakti hai, meri liye iss Nikaah ka hona maayne rakti hai...

Asad stares in pure happiness at Zoya whilst she lightly blushes at his statement. Dilshad and Najma watch the entire thing, Dilshad looks proud of her son at his bravery as the old Asad would never have said that in front of an audience but today he did. Najma giggles at her brother's boldness and breaks AsYa's Mitwa moment. Asad realises what he said and where he said it and looks towards his mother and sister, praying they didn't hear him but to his horror they did.

Asad sits back, even more shocked when had he moved closer towards Zoya?! He cleared his throat.

Asad: (stumbles and mumbles a random excuse) Me...um..woh actually me...kuch zaroori kam (stands up) important call...

He fast walks to his room whilst Dilshad and Najma burst into laughter at the dinner table, Zoya simply blushes and smiles at her plate, glad she finally found someone who loves her beyond her expectations my cute Jahapanah Six Packs she thought.

Najma: (in astonishment) Wow... Zoya you're changing Bhaijaan, seriously Zoya I mean thumbs up, Bhaijaan apne feelings ko express kar raha hai; that's not less than any miracle you know! 

Zoya smiles at sweet Tamatar's statement and feels proud that she changed Mr Akdu Ahmed Khan to the person he has become for Zoya now.
