January was the time of the Annual Marauders Prankathon! It was a great festival for which all of Hogwarts waited, with excitement or with dread. All the four Marauders ruthlessly played pranks on each other and whoever succeeded in pulling more successful pranks or the most creative prank was declared the "Marauder of the Year"!  And it was time for this again!! And due to Lily Evan's close friendship with the boys this year, she was rumored to be a part of the event this year.
It all started very casually with small pranks which everyone didn't really see coming until on the second day of the gala everyone saw a very injured Lily Evans lying in the middle of the hallway, as if someone had thrown her, which just turned out to be her magical clone (...?) which had made quite a few teachers upset that night. Some pranks, the whole school got to witness while stories of others floated around.

Like that morning the fourth year Gryffindor boys were going on about Peter  Pettigrew's bed levitating around whenever he switched positions. This, apparently, was James' spell work. But quite a few boys found Lily's textbooks in the boy's washroom which Sirius graciously accepted as his doing. James had to go all afternoon with his wand stuck to his nose, Lily's work. And the fact that Sirius had charmed his hair to turn bright purple added to the sight. Overall, the third day was CHAOS!

Day 4 started very calmly with all of them attending all classes sincerely and not indulging in any funny business. That all changed when 5  Professor Dumbledore's walked in during lunch and started chatting with the students, while his sixth form was enjoying pudding at the head table. Later that day Sirius blabbered on in Portuguese, thanks to a language charm Remus had put on him. In retaliation, Sirius teamed up with James to charm all the books in the library... ALL f them, to start running away from Lily and Remus all week. Yes, well that had them on the edge.

Day 5 was an even bigger mayhem with Peter having transfigured Lily's bag into a giant cockroach. So Lily ended up charming the boys' dormitory staircase to turn into a huge and slippery slide if any of the four tried to go up that day. So with the free time James had in the common room he charmed Lily's shoes to start tap dancing whenever she put them on.

This year was turning out to be more exciting than ever before. They all had some great tricks up their sleeves but everyone was waiting for that one GRAND and Epic prank that would be declared winner.

Day 6 started with Remus wearing Hufflepuff robes which has Lily's doing and Remus then charming a muggle magician's hat to follow Lily around and bark ridiculous orders at her, much to Peeves' annoyance, since that was his job. When Lily discovered Remus was at fault the whole castle shook with her shouting ,"I THOUGHT WE WERE ON THE SAME TEAM REM!!!". To which Remus gave a small chuckle and simply said, "Oh Lils this is the Marauders Prankathon. Its each one for themselves" followed by a very un-Remus-like wink. Talk about once in a lifetime.

Of course, the grand, epic, award winning prank came on the last day- Friday when during breakfast all Slytherins showed up with robes made out of bright green Jell-O. The most amazing part of it was that they couldn't see that their robes were Jell-O but could feel their watery surface- absolute TORTURE.

This resulted in Remus, the prank's mastermind getting a week worth of detention and three days for the other four.
