"Well it's 1am in the night at least I can take a 'Marauder Free Breath' now," said Professor McGonagall as she finished grading 3rd year Transfiguration homeworks. It was weird that she was thinking about them so late in the night but as mischievous as the boys were, she loved them. They did pull small, harmless pranks every now and then, but they were dedicated and gifted students, compassionate and supportive friends and helpful and sweet little boys. Of course their absolute love for her two favourite topics- Transfiguration and Quidditch was a plus too. She thought while talking to her room and smiled a little.

Then her shoulders tensed and she heard something in the next corridor. First she thought it was Honey, Filch's old and frail cat. (Oh how competitive she was!) But this was something heavier or .... someone.Oh God no! she thought to herself. "Lets hope my suspicions are wrong," she thought as she walked out. Of Course they weren't. She was sure it was those four boys whispering to each other. As she turned the corner Professor McGonagall saw that the four boys were still in their beds. As in, the beds were levitating around while the boys were sitting in them.

"Students out of bed!! STUDENTS OUT OF BED!!!' Filch came shouting. "No Argus, you are incorrect! We, four students, are very much in our beds so-" Sirius started but he saw the Professor shooting daggers at him from across the hallway and shut his mouth. "Mr. Lupin, Potter, Black and Pettigrew- my office- NOW" she hollered. It didn't take the boys even five minutes and they stood in her office with the beds in the hallway as Professor McGonagall paced angrily around her office.

"You all better have an explanation for this," she said "Uh well see-" started James. "A SANE one Mr. Potter! 4 students out of their beds at this ungodly hour- ATROCIOUS"  she waited

"Well that's not completely correct,"James started. "Yes, technically we weren't out of our beds, Minnie darling," Sirius went on. Professor started, "But you were out and around in the school hallways at 1 am in the night and that means you broke the school rules- Detention al-"

"Professor we have read the school rule book and there is- I can't Siri, you continue," Peter faltered. "Oh dear Pete! We've gotta work on those nerves.. And well as he was saying Professor, yes... we HAVE indeed read the school rule book and there is no mention of "being out and around the school hallways at 1 am in the night" as a rule," Sirius started. "And so, we did not break any rules so I don't see why we deserve detention" James winked.

Professor McGonagall just stood there with her mouth open and she turned to Remus,  " Mr. Lupin, you, out of all the people- YOU, helped? I am very disappointed in you." " Oh but Professor he was the one who suggested the spell," Sirius interrupted.

"Sirius Black, you twat, we talked about this-... Uh, sorry Professor, I promise, this won't be repeated." Remus began. "I'll make sure it doesn't- DETENTION all four of you. Sirius and James report to Mr. Filch tomorrow evening and Mr. Lupin and Pettigrew to me," she declared.

"But Professor we didn't break any rules" Peter defended. " But you did interrupt my peace and as head of your house I have power over your discipline. Oh and 20 points each off of Gryffindor." she concluded

"Yes Professor" they all said defeated and trotted back to their dormitories.
