[*] Chapter One - Runaway As Fast As You Can!
Forever Is A Long Time.
The wind swirled around the mansion's yard knocking up fallen leaves that were falling from the colorful trees, as the seasons began to change. It was quiet as if no one else was there, only me. The bright green grass that was illuminated in the dim streetlamp swayed in the wind. My iodine colored hair fell down my back in pin straight locks, and my bright blue crystal eyes scanned the large house. The Iron Gate was locked no one had passed in or out of it in years. There were no lights illuminating the windows unlike the other houses on the street. My eyes continued to look scanning over the marble porch thrusting out from the Victorian style building and the big roman looking columns that held up the awning. The sky had a few clouds drifting lazily over the navy blue sky. They looked like someone splattered ink across a painting of the sky with the stars twinkling brightly above. It sounds like the perfect night, but it wasn't.
Still decked out in my dress from the Halloween dance and standing at the gate off a large vine colored mansion was not how I thought my night would end up. My small hands curled delicately around the steel rods. To other people it would have seemed I was holding a friends hand, but no I had a death grip on those bars my knuckles turning even more white than they normally were. The short tulle skirt rustling at my knees as I shook the bars with tears streaming down my face. The night was quiet for only a little while. I reluctantly let go of the iron and receeded into the forest. My head was rattling and a headache was forming. I had no idea what I was going to do.
I really hadn't planned to run away, but it had finally just made me crack. The screams and the breaking of the glasses and plates. I just couldn't take it! Who could have? It was stupid and I guess I was just finally tired of it. I carefully stepped over the branches and wet leaf clumps that lined the forest floor. The mansion loomed to my left and that's where I wanted to be inside that mansion. Touching all the antiques, and not being here in this sopping wet dress where I was dying a little more inside with each step. It's not how I hoped my life would end up. It was stupid but it was true all at the same time.
I crept around to the back of the house and managed to pull myself onto one of the lower window sills. Pushing the window up I tried to shimmy my way through.
