Chapter Nine - Dreams

My mom and the doctor heard me scream and ran in the room.

"Are you hurt?" The doctor asked. He was too clean. His blonde hair wavy and in his face, His hands sterile and scrubbed clean of all dirt. His clothes white and stain free.

"Sweetie, are you all right." Jade asked touching my arm. I shook it off ignoring her. Alex stood up off the couch running his fingers through his hair and wiping his face with his shirt.

"I want her out of here. I don't want you to ever let her in here again." I said sternly turning away from her. She just whimpered as the doctor led her out of the room.

"I would stroke your hair to calm you, but your all bandaged." He chuckled sadly his voice breaking.

"I'm so, so sorry." I said holding his hand the tears pouring down my face. We sat there like that for a while.

Alex wheeled me toward the front desk, so I could sign the release papers. I was scared to leave. I knew what was going to happen next, and I didn't want it to. I couldn't change my story unless Amethyst changed hers first, or someone else came into the picture. I would be dead at twelve o' clock tonight, unless something changes in her plans.

I snuck out of the hotel room as quietly as possible so as not to wake Alex. I ran down the sidewalk towards Amethyst, panting the whole way. My shoes hitting the sidewalk thundering off the walls with each step, as I ran by each one in turn. She seemed to get farther with each step I took. The rain started coming down in sheets and the clouds were turning darker, as time went by. I reached my shaking hand out to grab her slender shoulder. My other hand was holding the thin handle of a knife. When my hand touched the cool skin it was out from beneath me, as my limp hand fell to my side I felt the girl behind me. Staring into her cold black eyes was the worst ten minutes of my life.I barely dodged out of the way as two grotesquely white hands darted toward me. I tripped on a loose stone and fell on the cool cobble stone ground, as she leaned in closer. I had nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. There was nothing I could do except wait for my horrible and painful death. She was so close I could feel her icy breath on my skin. She was getting closer with every second that went by, the smell of her skin was sweet and pure. But something had changed, Amethyst had changed her plans this wasn't how it was supposed to end. It was all-wrong. This time I wasn't going to die. But something equally bad was going to happen.
