It took us ten minutes to hide the body, before we heard a knock at the door. I looked over to Ben, who was frozen, and sighed. What if it's the cops? What if they arrest the only friend I have? I walked over to the couch, and stood in front of it, wondering how we were going to clean the blood off. "Ben, go wash your hands, and change out of your clothes! Oh and put the bloody ones in the washing machine, and turn it on, the police wouldn't look in a washing machine, would they? I'll clean the couch." I told him as he ran upstairs, to do what I had just told him.
I walked into the kitchen, looking everywhere for a cloth or something to clean the blood off the couch with. Eventually, I found a cloth and I soaked it in soapy water. I walked back over to the couch, and began to rub on the blood stains, pushing harder and harder, when they weren't coming off. I had almost finished, when Ben came downstairs, and walked into the laundry, to wash his clothes. Just as he walked into the kitchen to grab a cloth, someone knocked at the door again, making both of us jump. "Shit." He said and ran into the lounge room, grabbing the cloth of me and cleaning the couch himself, a lot better then what I was doing. "Ah, get a cushion or something to cover the blood up with!" He said, pointing to the floor, where a red pillow was lying.
I ran to the pillow, picked it up, and threw it to Ben, who then covered the blood with it, and ran into the kitchen emptying the soapy water from the sink, and putting the cloth on the bench, making it look less suspicious. I stood in front of the couch, wondering if I should answer the door or not, but I decided to wait until they knocked again, if they did. Ben walked back into the lounge room, and threw himself onto the couch, as if nothing was wrong with it. "Ben, what if it's the cops?" I asked, looking towards the door.
"I don't know..." He shook his head, sighing and jumping up to his feet when there was a third knock on the door.
"I'll get it." I told him, walking towards the door. I opened the door to find a police officer standing in front of me. "Hi, what can I do for you?" I asked, in the least suspicious way I could manage.
"Oh, we were just wondering what all the screaming, and banging noises were. Someone called us saying they were in trouble, and the call came from this house..." She explained, pulling a little notebook out of her pocket.
"Excuse me, but I live right across the road, and I can assure you that there were no screams coming from this house." I told her, telling her the actual truth. She pulled her pen out of her hair, letting her pony tail fall out, and wrote down what I told her.
"So you don't live here?" She asked, her eyebrows rising.
"No... I don't." I told her.
"Who lives here then?" She asked. What's with police and wanting to know absolutely every detail about things? I don't know, but it's pissing me off.
"My friend... His name's Ben." I told her, trying to hide the frustration in my voice.
"Can I come inside, please?" She asked, basically forcing her way in. That stubborn little bitch and her insanely bushy eyebrows better get her ass out of here before that pen gets shoved up her ass. This nosey little bitch is worse than Miss Adams, our maths teacher at school!
As soon as Bushy Brows walked in, Ben stood up, a worried look on his face, staring at her. I don't know her name yet, so for now I'm going to call her Bushy Brows. "My name is Kristina, but you guys can call me Krissi. For now." Krissi, aka Bushy Brows, told us.
"Um... Hi, Krissi?" Ben said, confused. "What's up? As in, um... Why are you here, is there something wrong?" Ben asked, worry clear in his voice.
"Yes, actually. Someone called the cops from this house, do you happen to know who?" She asked.
"Um, no m-" Ben started, only to be cut off by Bushy Brows
