Ethan.

It was a couple of days later, the news of the training against the burned ones had got around. Whisper had kept the secret of Sky's 'mission', she understood it. Bloom was very unstable right now, the only person who had actually given her answers was locked up for murder by the people who won't tell her anything. The shadow fairy sympathized with the girl but that could only go so far.
You could hear the air fairy screaming outside the barn, no one dared say anything, specialist were used as guards at night. Whisper a couple of times was able to sneak into the room through the shadows , she gave Beatrix some water and food every now and then. She didn't trust the girl one bit, but she couldn't let her suffer.
The list of the partners came out today, Whisper was a nervous reck and Sky wasn't any better, he was worried Whisper was going to get some asshole who didn't treat her right. The pair were walking down the hall heading to the common Area to see the list. The room was crowded by loads of college teens all crowded around this list. It looked like the drama club when a cast list comes out.
   When it was Whisper's turn she looked down at the list to find her name, row after row she looked through her anxiety getting higher and higher. Then she saw it, her name right there and next to it? Ethan. Ethan? Who is Ethan?
    She looked up at the blonde standing next to her, he had the same look of confusion on his face, " do you know him?" The short girl asked once they were out of the crowd. The tall male shook his head " No, can't say I do, must be a first year" he said
     The duo soon came face to face with a familiar brunette. Riven. The best friends haven't takes much sense the argument outside the barn but they were roommates and best friends. " guessing by the look on your faces, the two of you won't be shagging anytime soon" the druggie joked, he obviously was high on something, but scolding him was pointless. " hey, Riv, do you uhh happen to know about some specialist named Ethan? I got paired with him" Whisper questioned, Riven though for a moment " uhh yeah, he's some shank in his first year, Danny said he packs a punch, that's all I know" the brunette stated.
Sky's facial expression hadn't changed since he read the name. Was this Ethan nice? What of Whisper liked Ethan more than him. That right, Sky of Eraklyon was jealous, of course he would deny it. The specialist also couldn't help but frown at the punch part. Needless to say Sky wasn't happy.

Whisper stood in the court yard, today was the first day of training with your partner. The professors had stations and drills set up, each helped with the duos to get to trust each other. Trust was number one, the specialist must trust the fairy to kill the Burned One, and the Fairy must trust the specialist to hold it off long enough to kill it. The problem was Whisper wasn't sure how much this Ethan would trust her, a Shadow fairy to be more specific. While Whisper was in thought she failed to notice the the tall lanky boy with bright green eyes and a off brown dirty blonde hair, the tips of his hair was bleached. To Whisper he reminded her of donkey, a blonde donkey. " are you Ethan?" The silver haired girl asked, the boy rolled his eyes " Obviously, you must be pretty dumb to ask that. Your the freak everyone is talking about, Mutter was it?" Whisper scoffed, this Ethan was the epitome of rude " it's Whisper, and I suggest you loose the cocky attitude before we have a problem." She snapped.
   ' just my luck,god, why couldn't I have gotten Sky, or Riven for Gods sake!' The shadow Fairy thought. " is that a threat, midget?" The jackass challenge, stepping closer than comfort. " No, it's some friendly advice, after all we are supposed to help each other right?" She snapped, second by second she was getting more frustrated, and him coming into her personal bubble didn't help.

Sky had scene the whole interaction from afar. There was a fire in his stomach when he saw Ethan step closer to his shadow, too close. It took all of Sky's being not to storm over there and push him away from her. However he couldn't, he had orders, but in that moment All the blonde male wanted todo was break them. He didn't Hate Bloom at all, but he wanted Whisper. " Sky come on, we need to go" the red head called, she looked over to what he was seeing and sighed " I know you worry, we all do, but Whispers strong she can handle herself." Bloom attempted to reassure, Sky nodded " I know, it's just.... I wished she didn't have too." The fire fairy nodded.
    Anyone could see the longing both had for the other, it was obvious to anyone who knew them, The Winx suite mates, Riven, even Silva everyone could see it. Except those two. Both lived in the fear of dragging the other down, but neither realized how much they brought each other up. So they pushed those desires down, after all why change a good thing?

    The pair was stopped from their quarrel when Harvey called them to start an exercise. In this the specialist were sparring while the fairy Would 'assist' by adding a magical element every now and then. The two took their positions and the spar started, Whisper tried to help Ethan, but as Riven said the guy could only punch. His opponent kept throwing kick after kick swing after swing, the small girl was able to prevent a good amount of it. But by the end Whisper was panting and Ethan had his Ass on the floor.
    When they were dismissed the ass pulled Whispers arm tightly, " the fuck was that? Your the fucking fairy your supposed to help me!" He screamed at her. Whisper was shocked, he blamed her for his failure, the boy wasn't even sweating, unlike her " I did help you, but magic only goes so far when your pathetic ass can't fight!" She screamed, walking away to her tree, she needed to cool down. In honesty she needed Sky, but he was busy carrying out Silva's orders to spy.
   She sat down by the tree, it was sunset, Whisper had always loved the sunset. It welcomed the night, the darkness, it welcomed her. When she was little she would sneak out onto the roof of the orphanage to watch the sunset, for a few minutes of peace before the bullying started again. Whisper had failed to Notice the headmaster standing across the field, wiping down the equipment. He smiled at the girl, He used to be just like her, a loner. Sure he was good but he didn't make friends easily, all he had was Andreas, Farrah, and Ben. That was enough for him, raising Sky made him realize just how much he missed out on, his chance at love.
   So seeing the boy he had raised and the girl sitting alone at a tree stump, the war vet couldn't help but hope that the two would realize it before they lost their chance.

Further news, there will most likely not be chapters this weekend. I know sad, but you see I'm spending this weekend to celebrate my birthday with some friends and fam! There will still be a chapter tomorrow though!
