1 year later

Taehyung sighs, sinking into the couch opposite Yoongi. His eyes drop to the mess strewn across the floor. From the corner, he hears Jimin whining loudly as he tugs at something, causing a ruckus.
"Oh my god! Who gave him my blazer?!" Jimin squeaks, instantly drawing their attention. He yanks the blazer away from the ten-month-old baby, who giggles, finally releasing his grip. Drool pools down Jimin's chin as he inspects the fabric in horror.

"I swear, we need to put a bell on him," Taehyung mutters, shifting to glance at Yoongi. Yoongi avoids his gaze and raises an eyebrow, silently asking, Who?

"Jimin," Taehyung says with a heavy sigh, nodding toward the older man still staring at his drool-soaked blazer with a look of disgust as he wipes the damp spots. "He's like a walking hazard."

"No offense?" Taehyung quickly adds, noticing Yoongi's amused smirk.

"Unfortunately, you're married now—and have a kid," Yoongi points out with a grin, scooting closer to ruffle Taehyung's now auburn hair.

They'd each chosen new hair colors a few weeks back. Taehyung had gone blonde to match Jungkook's style, while Jungkook had picked auburn for himself—a choice Taehyung had initially protested. But Jungkook had promised endless kisses and hugs, so Taehyung had relented. The memory makes him smile, but he's pulled back to the present by Jimin's latest complaints.

"I still don't know why I let Yoongi hand Minjun over to him," Taehyung mutters.

"I know, but Minjun's only ten months. He can't even walk yet," Taehyung adds with a pout, glancing at the baby happily crawling around. "And Jimin has never really favored him—ever since Kook and I decided to adopt."

He remembers how shocked Jimin had been when they announced the adoption, just two months after their wedding.

They hadn't even gone on their honeymoon yet. Instead, they were stuck juggling Minjun's care—something Taehyung found exhausting, especially since he couldn't fully trust Minjun's uncles to help out. They should've taken a little time for themselves first, maybe gone away before bringing the baby home. But that all changed the moment Jungkook brought up adoption—just a week ago, desperate to make time for Taehyung.
"I guess he's still trying to warm up to the kid," Taehyung mutters, breaking the silence.

Yoongi glances back at him, sensing there's more on his mind. "By the way, what happened between you and Hoseok? Did things turn out good... or bad?"

Taehyung's eyes widen, caught off guard by the question. He exhales slowly, his gaze drifting toward the far corner where there's nothing really to see.

"Well..." he begins, voice low, hesitant. "It's complicated."

Six months ago
It had been months since Taehyung last saw Hoseok, and now, sitting across from each other in Hoseok's office, the air between them felt thick and heavy. Taehyung sat stiffly in the chair opposite Hoseok's desk, trying not to let the tension make him sweat. His eyes wandered around the room, which looked exactly as it always had—yet somehow, the space seemed to close in on him. Hoseok's intense gaze made the silence almost suffocating.

Finally, Hoseok cleared his throat, breaking the silence and allowing Taehyung to breathe a little easier.

"I should probably go first," Hoseok said, fingers steepled on the desk as he gathered his thoughts.

Taehyung nodded slightly, tightening his fingers beneath the table.

Hoseok's voice was earnest, tinged with regret. "I want to apologize for how I treated you. It was selfish of me to put you in that position, especially with how the marriage turned out." His eyes searched Taehyung's face for any sign of forgiveness, hopeful he could salvage their friendship.
