A few hours ago...
Mina rushes into the Kwon's living room with enthusiasm whirring through her body. She glances around, a wide grin tugging at the side of her lips when she notices both her parents casually sitting on the sofa. Mrs. Kwon is involved in reading a book while Mr. Kwon is scrolling through his phone. Due to her unexpected shriek, they both lift their gaze to see their beloved daughter.
"Mom! Dad!" Mina's parents are both perplexed as to why she seems so excited but when they glance down to discover something in her hands, they both swallow grimly.
"Yes, sweetheart." her mother's heart sinks to her stomach when Mina sets down the object on the table and saunters towards her parents.
"Where's Taehyung? I'm going to surprise him when he finds out that I bought him a cake for his birthday. Taehyung!" Mina beams scanning throughout the room to find her older brother when she doesn't receive a response.
The house is unusually quiet. It's always as if Taehyung keeps the house bubbly and she finds it hard to believe that today is Taehyung's birthday and he's turning 25.
She cusses herself for the amount of time she wasted at the bakery shop. It was not her fault since many people were waiting in front of her to have theirs ordered. The place was crowded with customers, but still how come people can't just buy the ones on display. It didn't matter to her though. She waited till she got the best cake for Taehyung's birthday.
"Mom..where's Taehyung?. She frowns when she doesn't find him anywhere. She's exhausted, having to come back home to surprise Taehyung, but it would be worth the boxy smile her brother gives in return. Her mother looks downward contemplating how to tell her daughter the news as her father abruptly looks up from his phone and sighs deeply causing Mina to frown.
"We don't know." He lies. Mina blinks immediately thinking as if she heard mistakenly and instantly reaches into her pocket to retrieve her phone.
"What do you mean you don't know? Taehyung!!!" she calls her voice resounding through the house. She panics and promptly rushes upstairs to check his room and every other to see if he was home.
Disappointed and panicked, she runs back downstairs gawking at her parents in disbelief. Why are they being so nonchalant? That's not the case of her panicked state. Even though Taehyung is growing older, she's still frightened after everything that had happened to him back then could still have a huge influence on him.
"Oh my god!!! He's not picking up his phone either!" terror rises in her chest when her call is sent to voicemail. Her eyes darken when she finds both her parents wordlessly observing her like their son isn't missing or something must have happened to him.
"I'm going to go find him." she throws a glare their way and scurries out of the house to find Taehyung or go to the police station to at least have some help. Mrs. Kwon worries her lip as images of Taehyung flood her mind yet Mr. Kwon doesn't give a single peep of whatever they have done to the child they've raised.

Taehyung awakes to what seems like a little later in the night. His body is flushed and sweating profusely as he snaps open his eyes. He gasps for a huge intake of air, eyes going wide as he hurriedly sits up and peers around the area and the outline of the room. Oh god. This isn't his room. He panics until he realizes that he isn't home, but in a place, he's been sold off to.
His mind drifts back to earlier today when he was kidnapped and some raven-haired freak telling him about his parents selling him off. At the thought of that, tears appear in the corner of his eyes. He sniffs bringing his knees to his chest and tucks them under his chin as he hugs himself protectively.
